Stamina is a common element in all life sim/farming sim games, albeit with variations. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, stamina is solely required for tasks such as relocating trees or demolishing rocks. Conversely, Disney Dreamlight Valley utilizes stamina, referred to as energy, for almost every player action except cooking.
In Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, stamina holds a much greater significance. Once the tutorial concludes, stamina gradually depletes even during ordinary walking. Consequently, players must consistently monitor and replenish their stamina bar.
How to Restore Stamina
Stamina loss in Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos varies significantly depending on the activity. Simply walking will slowly deplete stamina, while dashing expedites the depletion. Performing tasks such as farming or mining accelerates stamina loss even further. Moreover, being in hot or cold environments intensifies the rate of stamina reduction. If players exhaust their stamina, they will collapse. To prevent this, players must regularly replenish their stamina.
One method to restore stamina is by going to bed. Even if players have only half a heart of stamina remaining, sleeping will restore them to their current maximum stamina. Additionally, this allows players to save their game if they choose to do so.
Of course, if players happen to be far away from their bed, they will need to resort to an alternative method for replenishing their stamina. Consuming fruits and vegetables will result in the restoration of half a heart's worth of stamina. Therefore, if players consume four apples, for instance, they would regain a total of two hearts' worth of stamina. It is evident that consuming cooked food is a more efficient and effective option. Even a simple baguette is capable of restoring an entire heart's worth of stamina. Furthermore, more elaborate culinary creations will significantly increase stamina restoration. Additionally, certain dishes can also provide resistance against stamina depletion in both hot and cold environments.
How to Get More Stamina
As players progress through the game, they will inevitably require more stamina to explore or engage in farming activities. Thankfully, the story will eventually unlock opportunities for players to enhance their inventory capacity and increase their maximum stamina. To achieve this, players of Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos should make their way to the Harvest Goddess statue located north of Providence Village. Here, they can exchange three Harvest Wisp Fruits in order to boost their maximum stamina by one heart. By doing so, players will be able to accomplish more without constantly worrying about their stamina levels.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos is available now on Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
