Unveiling the Ultimate Method: Unlock the Water Mill Gear Chest in Assassin's Creed Mirage

Located north of Baghdad in Assassin's Creed Mirage, the Water Mill settlement is the nearest of the three. Although it is technically considered part of the Baghdad outskirts rather than a standalone town, it is still distant enough to be categorized as part of the Wilderness region.

In addition to the viewpoint situated on the southern side of the Water Mill, this area also contains a significant historical site and a gear chest. Gear chests hold crucial collectibles in Assassin's Creed Mirage, including clothing, weapons, and upgrade schematics. However, some players may encounter difficulty accessing this specific gear chest due to a misplaced key.

How to Get to the Water Mill Gear Chest

After locating the building containing the gear chest (northwest of the watermill building), players will come across a sizable pit on the southern side. Within this pit, there is a doorway obstructed by a moveable stone shelf, impeded by an anvil and a small hay bale.

Both the anvil and hay are objects that Basim can easily lift and transport, allowing players to select either one and relocate it elsewhere. The button to drop the item remains consistent across all systems, and is the same button used for picking it up. Since the two items are situated at a sufficient distance from each other, moving just one of them should be enough to release the stone shelf from the door.

Inside the room is a gear chest, a materials chest, and a tools chest. Players can immediately access the materials and equipment, however, the gear chest is secured with a lock that requires a key.

Where to Find the Water Mill Gear Chest Key

A note, situated east of the pit on a well lid, provides players with a clue revealing the whereabouts of the key. As per its instruction, the key is to be sought in close proximity to the watermill.

Although players will not be able to locate the key using Eagle Vision either from the building or the note's location, it is still easily within Enkidu's reach if players have upgraded their Eagle's vision. Precisely, the key can be found in the water to the north of the walkway, which runs east of the watermill. It is situated in very close proximity to the historical site marker named "Agriculture." The water is sufficiently shallow, allowing Basim to retrieve the key effortlessly while swimming near the surface.

Upon opening this chest, players will be rewarded with the Hidden One Dagger or an upgrade schematic for the weapon. The Hidden One Dagger is a perfect companion to the Hidden Ones Sword as it emits a cloud of poisonous smoke upon slaying an enemy afflicted with poison.
