Baylan Skoll, the survivor of Ahsoka's Order 66, was portrayed by Ray Stevenson, who sadly passed away on May 21, 2023, just four days before his 59th birthday. Despite his untimely death, Stevenson had completed his role in Ahsoka prior to his passing. As a result, his portrayal of Baylan Skoll will forever be remembered, alongside the numerous other remarkable characters he brought to life throughout his career.

Before Ahsoka and Stevenson's deaths, the actor enjoyed a successful Hollywood career, appearing in numerous movies and TV shows. Some of Stevenson's most noteworthy early roles include playing Ser Dagonet in the 2004 film King Arthur and portraying Titus Pullo in the HBO/BBC series Rome during the early 2000s. Stevenson also gained recognition for his roles as Frank Castle/Punisher in Punisher: War Zone and as Volstagg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor: Ragnarok.
Stevenson's television credits include playing Ukrainian mobster Isaak Sirko in Dexter season 7 and the character Blackbeard in seasons 3 and 4 of Black Sails. Interestingly, Stevenson previously had roles in Star Wars TV shows, voicing Gar Saxon in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. In contrast to Baylan Skoll, Shin is portrayed by Ivanna Sakhno, a Ukrainian-American actress who has less Hollywood experience compared to Rey Stevenson.Ivanna Sakhno's previous credits in Hollywood productions are not as extensive as Stevenson's. In 2018, she portrayed Cadet Viktoriya in Pacific Rim Uprising and played the role of Nadejda, a hitwoman, in the comedy film The Spy Who Dumped Me. Additionally, she appeared in the Ukrainian film Let It Snow in 2020 and had a two-episode role in the Hulu series High Fidelity. While her mainstream performances have been limited, Ahsoka will undoubtedly boost Ivanna Sakhno's popularity as she brings the character Shin Hati to life, alongside the late and esteemed Rey Stevenson, who portrays Baylan Skoll.
