Reeves astonished the rest of the cast as she passionately protested the unfairness of a hint related to a park bench, reminiscent of Hanks' legendary film "Forrest Gump." She firmly believed that this clue made it glaringly apparent who her famous relative was.
"I didn't even have a chance to participate in any challenges!" Reeves exclaimed with frustration while organizing her belongings. "I don't deserve this. I should have had more opportunity to be on camera and my presence should have been showcased for a longer duration!"
Reeves admitted to Entertainment Weekly that she may have overreacted, but she stood by her belief that the park bench clue was far too glaring.

Each participant on the reality show Claim to Fame is associated with a renowned relative. Their task is to prevent the remaining contenders from accurately deducing which A-list celebrity is linked to their ancestry.
Season 2 of the ABC show, cohosted by Kevin Jonas and Frankie Jonas, debuted in June 2023. Carly Reeves was the first to be eliminated after Hugo, a fellow contestant, correctly guessed that she is the niece of Tom Hanks.
Reeves surprised the rest of the cast by passionately expressing her frustration regarding a clue related to a park bench, a reference to Hanks' famous film Forrest Gump. She believed that this clue made her celebrity connection "obvious."
Reeves exclaimed angrily while packing her bags, "I didn't even have a chance to face any challenges! I am not being treated fairly. I should have been given more screen time and allowed to stay longer!"
After being eliminated, Reeves admitted to Entertainment Weekly that she had "overreacted slightly." Nonetheless, she continued to assert that the clue on the park bench was "blatantly obvious."
