For the second time in the history of the franchise, a game based on the series is set to be launched. The first one, titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost, was released in Japan in 2017. This new game, described as an "ability fling puzzle game," offers a fresh storyline and previously untold character side stories from the anime. The 2017 mobile game was later released in English a year after its initial launch.

As previously mentioned, the current available details for the highly anticipated Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs game are limited to the fact that pre-registration is now open. This crucial information was unveiled through a concise 20-second video that commenced with Japanese text and subsequently showcased protagonist Atsushi Nakajima and various members of the Armed Detective Agency congregated in a classroom setting.

The game not only unveiled a promotional video but also featured a key visual, which appeared to be a modified screenshot from the video itself, showcasing Atsushi. Although the trailer did not disclose a release date or any other relevant information, it hints that more updates will be announced in the upcoming weeks and months.

In December 2012, Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa introduced their Bungo Stray Dogs manga in Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine, and the series is still ongoing. Yen Press has published both the manga and the multiple light novels it has inspired in English. The initial TV anime adaptation aired from April to June 2016, and the most recent fifth season recently aired its final episode in Japan on Wednesday.

An anime film called Dead Apple, based on the manga volume of the same name, was released in Japan in March 2018. Crunchyroll started streaming the film in September 2018, and Funimation later made it available from June 2019 onwards.

As the anime has now surpassed the manga in terms of story material, fans are uncertain about the future direction of both versions of the series. Although the fifth season provided some hints about the next steps in the anime, it remains unclear whether Asagiri and Harukawa will follow suit in the manga. Nonetheless, fans can anticipate that the upcoming chapter of the original manga series will provide significant insights in this regard.
