To achieve 100% completion in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, players must acquire all six medals. This guide provides assistance in earning each of these medals. It is important to mention that the rewards for completing Mario Wonder entirely are minimal, consisting of a black background on the title screen and a green checkmark on the save file. Therefore, players are advised to pursue a completionist playthrough only if they have a strong affinity for the game, as there is no significant reward awaiting them.
Medal #1 (Game Completion)
Players will receive their first medal upon beating Mario Wonder.
Medal #2, #3, & #4 (Wonder Seeds, 10-Flower Coins, & Flags)
To earn the second, third, and fourth medals, one must gather all Wonder Seeds, obtain every 10-Flower Coin, and reach the summit of every flagpole within the game. This task encompasses the collection of Seeds, Coins, and flags within Mario Wonder's Special World, which can be accessed through seven different entry points situated across the Flower Kingdom.
Players will recognize that they have completed a level's Wonder Seeds, 10-Flower Coins, and flag when it displays a green checkmark in the course selection menu. If the Mario Wonder checkmark is not visible for a course that appears to have been cleared, it is probable that the level contains a secret exit which fans must discover.
Medal #5 (Badges)
Upon collecting every Badge in Mario Wonder, fans will be rewarded with their well-deserved fifth medal. The majority of these Badges can be acquired by successfully completing Badge Challenges and visiting Poplin Shops. However, there is one extraordinary Badge, known as the Sound Off? Badge, that holds a unique power to transform all the in-game sounds once equipped.
Medal #6 (Standees)
In order to acquire the ultimate Badge, players are required to achieve the second, third, and fourth medals as previously specified. This achievement will trigger the emergence of the Final-Final Test Badge Marathon course in the Special World. Successfully completing this course will grant players access to a house where they can attain the Sound Off? Badge.
Acquiring all 144 Standees will earn you the sixth badge. Standees can be purchased from Poplins, as well as the shop in the Special World, which offers a convenient way to obtain any missing Standees. However, it's important to note that buying every Standee requires a substantial amount of currency. Players may also need to invest some time in farming Purple Flower Coins in Mario Wonder.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
