Lechonk, the adorable pig Pokemon, was initially introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet but is now available in Pokemon GO. This not only gives players a new addition to their Pokedex, but also a fighting-type Pokemon for raids and battles.
During the Pladean Adventure event, Lechonk and its evolution, Oinkologne, were introduced. It's worth noting that Oinkologne has two separate variants for its male and female forms, which will be explained in this guide. Additionally, players may be curious to know if Lechonk has a Shiny variant in Pokemon GO.
How to Get Shiny Lechonk
Lechonks can acquire a beautiful pink hue when they become Shiny, making them easily distinguishable during their evolution. Trainers can spot Shiny Lechonks on the Pokemon GO map, but they will need to click on each one to confirm if it indeed is a Shiny. While encountering wild Lechonks, it is advisable to capture them and trade in any undesired ones for extra candies.
Once a trainer evolves a Shiny Lechonk, they will be rewarded with a stunning pink variation of Oinkologne, the appearance of which will depend on its gender and the specific one obtained.
How to Evolve Lechonk Into Oinkologne
Lechonk is a commonly found Pokemon in the wild in Pokemon GO. Using incense can further increase the chances of encountering it. Once a trainer captures Lechonk, they can immediately evolve it into Oinkologne without any additional steps, as long as they possess enough candies. For the evolution process, 50 candies are required, marking the final evolution stage.
Once Lechonk has reached its final evolution, trainers have the option to teach it a new attacking move and enhance its power by utilizing extra candies. To acquire the candies necessary for Lechonk's evolution, players can simply catch the Pokemon and transfer duplicates. The use of Pinap Berries can augment the number of candies received after each catch, which can then be applied towards the evolution of the Pokemon.
Lechonk can be a pretty good fighting-type Pokemon, so players will be pleased once they have evolved it to its final stage and can use it in a raid.
Pokemon Go is available now on mobile devices.
