Upon arriving in Starfield, players may be disappointed by the desolate state of Earth. Once a thriving planet, it is now a barren wasteland with only craters and caves to explore. However, through certain in-game actions, players have the opportunity to discover a few remaining landmarks, such as the Pyramids of Giza.
Unlike other Earth landmarks in Starfield, the pyramids closely resemble their real-world counterparts. Given their age and the planet's deterioration, it is not surprising that they are already in ruins. Explorers who visit Starfield's Cairo Landmark can also obtain the Cairo snow globe, which is necessary to unlock the Globe Trotter achievement.
How to Visit the Pyramids in Starfield (Cairo Landmark)
In order to visit the Cairo Landmark in Starfield, players must obtain a copy of The Ancient Civilization of Egypt. While it is possible to find this book while exploring spaceships and settlements, the easiest way to acquire it is by purchasing it from Sinclair's, a bookstore located on the west side of Akila City in the Cheyenne star system. To reach Sinclair's, players should follow the path past the Chunks building on the left, then descend the stairs to the right of the city's Sanctum Universum.
Upon their arrival at the store, players should seek out Ahnjong Sinclair, who will be easily identifiable either sitting out front or standing around in the vicinity. By engaging in conversation with her and expressing interest in her merchandise, players will gain access to The Ancient Civilization of Egypt. They can locate this valuable item by navigating to the Notes section in the menu. Since players are already present at the store, it is highly recommended that they acquire a copy of Oliver Twist, if they do not possess one already. This particular book is essential for discovering the whereabouts of the London Landmark.
Purchasing a copy of The Ancient Civilization of Egypt will unlock a new activity and reveal the Cairo Landmark landing site on the player's Earth map in the game. By visiting the site, players can explore the remains of two Pyramids and discover the Cairo snow globe placed at the base of the farthest one. Apart from enjoying the scenic views, players can also use Starfield's photo mode to capture memorable pictures. Starfield is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
