Twilight fans embraced various romantic relationships depicted on screen, while off screen, the cast of the popular vampire film series experienced their own love stories unfold. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who portrayed love interests in the 2008 film, swiftly developed a real-life connection. Following Stewart's separation from Michael Angarano, the California-born actress and her co-star began dating in 2009.

Pattinson and Stewart encountered a challenge in their relationship when We released exclusive pictures of the actress engaging in a kiss with her director from Snow White and the Huntsman, Rupert Sanders. Following a short separation, Pattinson and Stewart made amends but ultimately ended their relationship for good in 2013.

The star of Zathura subsequently spoke candidly about the highs and lows that accompanied publicly dating someone from the United Kingdom.

"I wasn't concealing anything. My silence regarding my previous public relationships was a deliberate choice to maintain ownership over aspects of my life," she explained to the Sunday Times in March 2017. Stewart also deliberated on why she believed her relationship with Pattinson wasn't destined to last, sharing with Harper's Bazaar U.K. in 2019, "When Rob and I were together, we lacked a reference point. So much was taken from us that, in an attempt to assert control over one aspect, we chose to refrain from discussing it altogether. Because it was our own."

The Panic actress had a relationship with model Stella Maxwell, which lasted between 2016 and 2019. During that time, she was also seen with screenwriter Dylan Meyer, whom she had met on a film set several years ago. Around three months after their first public appearance, the actress expressed her desire to propose to Meyer in the coming years.

"I've known her for approximately six years, but our romantic relationship only began two weeks ago. It was truly instant; from the moment we met, everything changed," she shared during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019. "We initially crossed paths on a movie set years ago. After not seeing each other for about two years, she unexpectedly showed up at a mutual friend's birthday celebration. I was completely taken aback, wondering where she had been all this time and how I had never known her before."

In November 2021, Stewart officially confirmed her engagement to Meyer.

So much was taken from us that, in an effort to establish control, we decided, 'No, we will never discuss it. Never. Because it belongs to us.'"

The Panic actress later entered into an on-and-off relationship with model Stella Maxwell, which lasted from 2016 to 2019. In August, rumors of a new romance sparked when the Academy Award nominee was seen with screenwriter Dylan Meyer, whom she had initially crossed paths with on a film set years ago. Three months after their initial public appearance together, Stewart expressed her anticipation of eventually proposing to Meyer.

"I've known her for about six years, but our romantic relationship only started two weeks after we met. It was truly a day to remember," she revealed during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show in November 2019. "We initially crossed paths years ago while working on a movie. After not seeing each other for a couple of years, she happened to show up at a friend's birthday party, and I couldn't help but wonder why we hadn't connected sooner."

In November 2021, Stewart publicly announced her engagement to Meyer.
