Naomi Dancy was discovered dead in 1937, having suffered two fatal gunshots to her face. Many years later, her renowned great-grandson is currently engaged in a project dedicated to unraveling the details surrounding her untimely demise.

"Ghost Story" is a fresh podcast featuring Tristan Redman as the host, who also happens to be the brother-in-law of actor Hugh Dancy. Hugh Dancy is widely recognized for his notable performances in popular television series such as "Hannibal" and "Downton Abbey: A New Era."

According to a press release for the pod, Redman is described as a seasoned journalist who doesn't believe in ghosts. However, peculiar occurrences took place in the bedroom where he resided as a teenager. The press release reveals that Redman becomes intrigued when he later discovers that subsequent occupants of the same house have encountered the ghost of a woman with no face. Interestingly, Redman's childhood home is located adjacent to the house where his wife's great grandmother, Naomi Dancy, was murdered in 1937 - subjected to a fatal shooting to the face with two gunshots. Is there a potential link between the ghost and this murder?

Redman has made the decision to take on the case and explore the hidden family secrets of his wife. The podcast will feature a variety of individuals, including homicide detectives, ghost hunters, and even psychic mediums. Additionally, the podcast will include interviews with close associates of the investigation, such as members of the Dancy family. Notably, actor Hugh Dancy, who is the brother-in-law of Tristan, will also speak for the first time about the murder. "As a journalist, I am not expected to take the existence of ghosts seriously. However, when faced with the possibility of a ghost in my own bedroom, especially one connected to a family murder, how could I not investigate?" Redman explained in a statement. "Over the past two years, I have dedicated myself to reporting this story, and I am eagerly anticipating sharing it with the audience. This podcast delves into the realms of ghosts, a long-forgotten murder, and the ways in which we confront discomforting events from our past."

Its a Wondery and Pineapple Street Studios production and their fourth collaboration following "9/12," "Will Be Wild," and "Persona."

"Ghost Story" will debut on Oct. 23.
