Luca Padovan has been cast as Mahito in The Boy and the Heron, with Robert Pattinson lending his voice to the Grey Heron. Karen Fukuhara will voice Lady Himi, while Gemma Chan will portray Natsuko. Christian Bale takes on the role of Mahito's father, Shoichi, and Mark Hamill plays Mahito's granduncle. Florence Pugh will voice Kiriko, while Willem Dafoe lends his voice to the Noble Pelican. Mamoudou Athie, Tony Revolori, and Dan Stevens have been cast as the parakeets, and Dave Bautista portrays the Parakeet King.
