The fantasy isekai anime Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World gained popularity in the anime community after its release in the summer of 2022. Based on the light novel series of the same name, many fans wondered if the anime also had a manga adaptation.
The answer to that question is yes, the Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World anime has been adapted into a manga, staying true to the original storyline. As of now, both the manga and the light novel are ongoing.
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World: Insight into the manga and light novel adaptations
Inception of the light novel
Written by Shachi Sogano, the light novel Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World started being published in December 2012, with Shiki Douji handling the artwork. It is currently being released by Shufunotomo under the Hero Bunko label, and consists of a total of 12 volumes.
However, that is not where the journey of the series begins. The series actually commenced its journey through online serialization from 2011 to 2019 on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, a platform dedicated to user-generated novel publishing.
Manga adaptation
In April 2017, the manga adaptation of the series made its first appearance in the Monthly Shounen Ace magazine, which is published by Kadokawa Shoten. The manga, illustrated by Hyōju Issei, currently consists of nine volumes. Readers and fans can access the chapters on Shōnen Ace Plus, which is Kadokawa Shoten's official website.
It's important to note that as of this writing, neither the light novel nor the manga is available in English.
