Unveiled in June during a Nintendo Direct, Super Mario Bros. Wonder received an enthusiastic response from fans of the traditional 2D side-scrolling gameplay. This game marks the return of the classic 2D Mario Bros. experience since New Super Mario Bros. U, and it also introduces players to the captivating Flower Kingdom for the first time.
In less than two months, this new Nintendo Direct will give fans an exclusive preview of everything they need to know about the upcoming game release. Fans will have the opportunity to explore the exciting new gameplay mechanics and characters in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, as well as get a glimpse of the Flower Kingdom, the captivating new land that Mario and his friends will embark on their latest adventure. In this adventure, Mario, Peach, and the gang are welcomed by Prince Florian, a charming Wiggler-type creature. However, their joy is short-lived as Bowser unexpectedly appears and merges with Prince Florian's castle using a new Wonder Flower item. To save the day, Mario must traverse through the six distinct worlds surrounding the central Petal Isles of the Flower Kingdom, offering a total of seven exciting new worlds to discover. These worlds include Pipe-Rock Plateau, Fluff-Puff Peaks, Shining Falls, and more.
Pipe-Rock Plateau resembles the familiar landscapes seen in previous Super Mario games set in the Mushroom Kingdom. Fluff-Puff Peaks takes Mario on an adventurous journey through the clouds after navigating through icy levels at the mountain's base. Shining Falls and the Petal Isles offer water and swimming challenges, while a desert, forest, and magma world await exploration. The game features unique open areas that allow players to freely roam and even complete courses out of order. Additionally, a new Course Select option in the menu grants players the ability to access any course at any time, a groundbreaking feature introduced in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
The upcoming games for the Switch have fans in constant excitement, and this latest Nintendo Direct has increased the hype for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This game will introduce a multitude of new content that has never been seen in a Mario Bros. game, all while remaining faithful to the classic 2D side-scrolling gameplay. With just a little time left until its release, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is already shaping up to be a tremendous success and a revitalizing addition to the beloved franchise.
