Before we dive into the exciting news, John and Maggie, who humorously refer to themselves as the Bad News Bears, have some unfortunate information for Apple TV+ subscribers. The price hikes that have been occurring throughout the year are not going away. Despite Apple's reported profit of $19.8 billion, they recently announced another increase in fees on October 25th. This means customers will be facing a more than 40% rise in their monthly charges just to continue enjoying the acclaimed Apple TV series and movies like Ted Lasso, Silo, Causeway, and soon, Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. Given the exceptional quality of their current content, one wonders whether such a substantial price increase is justified. Will the selection of shows and movies be worth it for loyal subscribers like yourself?
Moving on, starting from November 3rd, fans of Stranger Things will have an amazing opportunity. They can enter for a chance to win tickets at a significantly discounted price to the highly anticipated stage play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow. More details on this can be found here. And lastly, we are eagerly approaching the premiere of the first in a series of three Doctor Who specials on Disney+. The special, titled "The Star Beast," will air on November 25th. To celebrate this exciting event, a new trailer has been released to keep us on our toes until then! Before we meet Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor in 2024, the Fourteenth Doctor, played once again by David Tennant, reunites with his companion Donna Noble, portrayed by Catherine Tate. However, things take a mysterious turn as Donna begins to recall memories she shouldn't have. The most intriguing aspect of these 60th-anniversary specials is the return of a formidable adversary who hasn't been seen since the show's inception in the 1960s. As ardent Doctor Who fans, John and Maggie delve into the character of the Celestial Toymaker, now portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris, and why the trailer has stirred up such strong emotions within them.
