Why did Crimson perish so easily when his heart was not pierced? This would have allowed him to regenerate, regardless of his decapitated state. Furthermore, it raises the question of whether Shadow's attack was powerful enough to immediately halt Crimson's regenerative abilities. Regardless, it can be inferred from the scene that Shadow has successfully killed Crimson, but the Blood Queen is nowhere to be found. Consequently, Shadow's planned plot progression has been disrupted.
