The Clooney family has secured a summer getaway in paradise. George, 62, and Amal, 45, are set to reside in their Lake Como residence, according to a reliable source in the latest edition of We magazine. The couple's young twins, Ella and Alexander, 6, are especially excited about the prospect. They can't wait to join a local soccer club and indulge in their love for painting while enjoying the picturesque view of the water from their dedicated easel area.
The hotspot, positioned at the base of the Alps in northern Italy, is described as "an oasis" by the source. It is also deemed as "the most thrilling period of the year" for the family of four.
George and Amal became husband and wife in 2014, having initially encountered each other at Lake Como a year earlier. Following their first date in London that same year and embarking on numerous romantic getaways across the globe, George ultimately concluded that Amal was his soulmate.

"She had a captivating presence from the moment she entered the room," admitted George, who gained fame as one of Hollywood's most sought-after bachelors during the '90s and early '00s, during an interview with CBS in November 2020. "I had no idea if she would even be interested in me, but she turned out to be an incredibly fun, intelligent, beautiful woman, and I was instantly captivated. I couldn't help but start writing her letters."
Despite not intending to start a family after getting married, George and Amal surprised everyone when they announced their pregnancy in February 2017, as confirmed by Us magazine. Just four months later, the couple joyfully welcomed their twins.
George and Amal have made it a priority to give their children a sense of adventure during the summer months since expanding their family. In August 2022, an exclusive source revealed that the couple was spending quality time with their little ones in another country.
"Amal and George have had an incredible summer in Europe, and they are currently in a very happy and content place," the insider disclosed. "George strategically scheduled this trip around a work project in the UK, but even during his busy schedule, he and Amal managed to make the most of their time off by going on romantic dates and exploring the countryside together."
The couple, who got married in Venice, always wanted to pass on their love of Italy to their children. However, they were unprepared for the consequences of teaching them the culture. "We made a mistake," George admitted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in December 2020. "They speak fluent Italian. I mean, fluent Italian at 3 years old. But neither my wife nor I speak Italian, so we have given them the power of language."
George went on to share that the twins had already started using their newfound Italian skills against him. "I'll tell them, 'Go back and clean your room,' and they'll respond with 'Eh, papa stranzo'," he revealed to Jimmy Kimmel. "I'm from Kentucky, English is like a second language to me."
In April 2021, a second source informed Us that the COVID-19 pandemic provided George and Amal with the opportunity to finally take a step back and fully enjoy their time together at home in the United States. It allowed them to hit the reset button, spend quality time with their children Ella and Alexander, and fully embrace being a family without any disruptions. According to the insider, George and Amal's bond is currently strong and they are both content in their roles as parents and spouses.
"He harbored doubts for an extended period of time regarding the possibility of meeting the soulmate he had always yearned for... however, with the arrival of Amal, everything transformed," the informant revealed. "It would not be an overstatement to say that she completely captivated him."
