This update will confirm that the process of acquiring the pet cat remains unchanged and will provide a video guide to ensure players have access to the most accurate information.
Set in the dystopian and futuristic Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 features a sprawling map filled with hidden secrets and Easter eggs waiting to be discovered. Amidst engaging in gunfights with street gangs and completing story missions, players can find respite in V's apartment at the H10 Megabuilding in the Watson District.
This apartment offers more flexibility for personalization compared to the others and holds a special surprise in the form of a pet cat named Nibbles. Despite not being documented in any mission logs or indicated on the map, this delightful addition is easily overlooked. Follow this guide to locate the enchanting feline companion for V's apartment.
Finish Playing for Time
In order to discover the cat, players must first progress through the prologue, tackle the intense Heist mission, and embark on the thrilling adventure known as Playing For Time. This particular mission entails a captivating conversation with Takemura that takes place at Tom's Diner. Upon successfully accomplishing this mission, players are granted the freedom to delve deeper into the expansive open world of Night City.
Find the Empty Bowl
When exiting V's apartment head immediately to the left down the hall. On the right is a decrepit alley with a dumpster and a small bowl placed in front of it.
Pick up the Shard
Players need to find and pick up the shard among the garbage titled Feed Teh Cat. The note says to fill the bowl with cat food to attract the cat.
Find Cat Food
Go to the Vendor at Kabuki Market
: Cat food is readily available in Night City and can be found in many places. Players should check their consumables tab in the backpack for any previously acquired cat food. If none is found, they will have to purchase some.
Among the various food vendors in Night City, the one nearest to the apartment can be found at Kabuki Market, just north of the apartment building. To locate it, look for the adjacent fast travel station or undertake 'The Gift' side mission, which is assigned by T-Bug in the early stages of the game. The cat food available there is extremely affordable, and you only require one unit to fulfill this task.
Place the Cat Food in the Bowl
Return to the Alleyway
: After returning to the bowl, a prompt will appear, instructing the player to set the food down. To pass the time, the player has the option to engage in a mission or rest in bed at the apartment. Allowing approximately 12 hours to elapse will ensure the cat's arrival.
Upon returning to the alleyway, Johnny Silverhand will eventually take notice of the cat's presence. Approaching it will then transport players to their apartment, where they will find the cat snugly settled in a cozy little bed near their sleeping quarters. This delightful encounter grants players the opportunity to have the pet cat join them in their apartment, as well as the ability to capture its charm in the game's photo mode. By activating photo mode, players can locate the option to include Nibbles the cat, allowing for memorable poses alongside V.
Nibbles the Cat will only be accessible in V's primary apartment, which is obtained upon completing the prologue in Cyberpunk 2077. The game is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
