Above the planet of Masada-III, the second-to-last mission of Starfield unfolds like a violent symphony. Ominously crackling cosmic energy resides within clouds of red gas. Starborn and Ecliptic ships whiz by at incredible speeds, all determined to impede the player from reaching Starfield's final Artifact.
Known as "Revelation," this mission represents the ultimate challenge in Starfield. Players will confront the game's most formidable combat encounters, facing multiple waves of enemies standing between them and their objective. Navigating through the treacherous Buried Temple without prior knowledge can prove profoundly difficult. Thankfully, this comprehensive guide provides assistance every step of the way, ensuring the triumphant conclusion of this arduous journey.
How to Start Revelation
After players finish the previous missions and gather all the final Artifacts scattered in the wilderness, the next phase called "Revelation" will initiate on its own, transporting players to the airspace above Masada III.
Primary Mission Goal: Proceed to Masada III.
As players near the end-game, they may encounter a shortfall of fuel to make a direct jump to Masada III. Keep an eye on the highlighted line leading to Masada III, which is situated towards the eastern periphery of Starfield's universe.
Upon reaching Masada III, players will engage in their final encounter with the Hunter and the Emissary. The outcome of this meeting will vary depending on the decision made in "Unearthed."
The player will be assisted by the Emissary to triumph over the Starborn ships above Masada III, before joining forces with the rest of the team for the mission. Similarly, the player will receive aid from the Scorpius and subsequently team up with the Hunter if Hunter is chosen.
The player will be without any assistance during the entire mission, although they are still permitted to bring a regular companion.
The outcome of the player's decision in the concluding conversation regarding Masada III will have an impact on the events unfolding in "Unearthed". Once the dialogue concludes, "Revelation" will commence without delay.
Defeat the Starborn Ships
Before proceeding to the surface, players must deal with a minimum of two Starborn Guardian ships. If they decide to tackle this challenge without assistance from the Hunter or the Emissary, they will also have to face these ships. This can be an intimidating endeavor. Follow these tips to increase your chances of success:
Above all else, avoid staying in one place. Remaining stationary will likely lead to failure unless the player is completely confident in their shields. To survive, keep moving, even if it means the task takes longer.
Ensure an ample stock of Ship Parts for repairs to maintain the formidable effectiveness of Starborn ships. Vigilantly monitor the repair window as its decline can occur remarkably swiftly once the shields are compromised. Promptly activate RS before it becomes too tardy to do so.
Prioritize defeating either the Hunter, Emissary, or both adversaries before engaging the standard Starborn ship, as they exhibit superior accuracy and inflict greater harm. Concentrate on dispatching one or both of them before eliminating the generic opponent.
The Outer Temple - Part I (Head to the Temple)
Mission Objective: Landing at the Buried Temple
In order to embark on this extensive mission, the initial task is to successfully touch down on Masada III and make necessary arrangements for an extended assault. At this stage, if the player has selected a Starborn companion, they will promptly arrive and join the team.
Upon player arrival, they will discover various zones teeming with valuable loot. If there are concerns regarding the player's supply of aid items or ammunition, it is essential to meticulously scavenge the area.
This freezing atmosphere on Masada III is so severe that it can cause the Frostbit status affliction. Although players can resort to Heal Gel or any aid item with an orange flame to cure this effect, it is important to note that the Frostbite affliction sets in at an alarmingly fast rate. Therefore, aid should only be utilized if the status reaches a severe level.
Continue looting as much as possible until reaching the point in seen in the image above. Entering this section will begin the quest's first true combat test.
The Outer Temple - Part 2 (Defeat Six Starborn)
Key Mission Objective: Defeat the Starborn
When the player reaches the underside of the massive bridge, they will encounter six Starborn enemies. Although it may initially appear daunting, there is a straightforward tactic that can make the combat intense yet quick. The recommended strategy is as follows:
