It's worth noting that the first movie had a lengthy production schedule, with work on the script starting in 2015 and principal photography beginning and concluding in 2018.
Angel Studios
The film was first acquired by a 20th Century Fox subsidiary, but Disney put it on hold after their takeover, leading the studio to repurchase the rights. Five years later, Angel Studios obtained the movie and released it after crowdfunding, with plans for UK and international releases in the fall. It's expected that the sequel will also be distributed by Angel Studios, which has plenty of funds after the success of Sound of Freedom. Sound of Freedom 2 cast: Who’d be in it?

Our goal is to save children and send a warning to potential traffickers and pedophiles: we are coming for you," Ballard emphasized.

“Haiti played a significant role in Tim’s work, and I was strongly considering featuring it in this film. However, I ultimately chose to focus on an origin story due to the abundance of material on Haiti. I needed to conclude the film at the point where it ends.”
