Unveiling Roger Federer's Extraordinary Life Beyond Professional Tennis

Roger Federer, a year post-retirement, embraces a captivating and fulfilling existence, describing it as a 'beautiful, vibrant journey' after bidding adieu to professional tennis

Roger Federer, the 20-time grand slam champion, expressed his contentment with leading a "beautiful, intense life" since his heartfelt retirement from professional tennis just over a year ago. Speaking at this year's Laver Cup in Vancouver, Canada, on Friday, Federer reflected on the events of the past 12 months.

During an interview with ex-American tennis champion Jim Courier, Federer humorously remarked that he now plays the role of a "professional chauffeur" for his four children, serving as their organizer and logistics expert, which presents a completely different kind of challenge.

However, simultaneously, Federer expressed his longing for all aspects of the game, including the exhilarating moments on the court, saving break points, clinching match points, raising trophies, interacting with fans, and even capturing selfies.

Federer's remarkable career, which comprised over 1,500 matches, 103 singles titles, and 20 grand slams, came to a close last year. The culmination occurred during the Laver Cup, where he teamed up with his long-standing friend and rival, Rafael Nadal, for a doubles match.

During the interview, Nadal made a surprise video appearance and playfully requested Federer to disclose his preferred doubles partner. Federer happily responded by saying, "Rafa can have it."

Additionally, Friday marked the commencement of this year's Laver Cup. Team World swiftly gained a 4-0 advantage against Team Europe, securing singles wins by Ben Shelton, Francisco Cerundolo, and Felix Auger-Aliassime. Moreover, Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul emerged victorious in the doubles match.
