Unveiling Mind-Blowing Xbox Game Surprises: Leaked Insider Insight

Exciting Xbox news! Recent leaks indicate that there are some major game surprises in store, soon to be revealed Stay tuned for an epic lineup of Xbox games that will surely leave gamers thrilled!

Highlights

Xbox is working on multiple games based on licensed IPs, which were not included in the September leak, indicating a larger game roadmap.

Microsoft Senior Business Development Manager Kat Carson's LinkedIn profile hints at two licensed IP titles and an undisclosed Xbox Game Pass offering. The absence of any references to ZeniMax or Bethesda on Carson's profile implies that Microsoft's middle management may not be part of Bethesda projects. This makes it improbable that the licensed IP game mentioned in the leak is affiliated with them.

Xbox is currently developing several games based on licensed IPs that have not yet been announced, according to recent evidence. This new information suggests that the previous Xbox leak in September did not provide a complete view of Microsoft's future game roadmap, despite its extensive scope.

Although Microsoft has become more transparent about its efforts to expand its content library since the launch of Xbox Game Pass in 2017, the company still maintains a level of secrecy at times. This is partly due to the unpredictable nature of game development, as evidenced by the number of confirmed major Xbox games that are still awaiting a reveal.

The company is currently pursuing undisclosed projects, including two licensed IP titles, as mentioned in Microsoft Senior Business Development Manager Kat Carson's LinkedIn profile. These projects are in addition to her work on a mysterious pair of Xbox titles and an unannounced Xbox Game Pass offering. The profile also alludes to five undisclosed first-party properties from Xbox Game Studios, but it is possible that some of these may have already been announced since Carson joined Microsoft in 2020. However, none of the announcements made by Xbox since then match the description of licensed IP titles, indicating that these projects are still confidential.

The September 2023 Xbox leak mentioned that Bethesda was working on a game based on a Disney intellectual property, according to an insider report. However, since Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media in March 2021, Bethesda has been operating independently of Xbox Game Studios. This suggests that Microsoft's middle management may not be personally involved in Bethesda projects. The absence of any references to ZeniMax or Bethesda on Carson's LinkedIn profile supports this assumption.

Considering the current list of major Xbox Game Studios subsidiaries, it seems that most of them are already occupied with previously announced titles. The exception is Double Fine, which could potentially be tasked with developing a game based on a licensed intellectual property. While this would not align perfectly with the studio's usual brand, it wouldn't be unprecedented, as Double Fine previously worked on Grim Fandango Remastered before joining Xbox Game Studios. Another possibility is that the two unannounced projects mentioned are not actually games based on external properties, but rather Microsoft's own intellectual properties licensed to third parties.
