Similar thing happens in this episode. Aki attempts to entice Masamune into consuming copious amounts of confections because the younger version of Masamune she recalls cherished indulging in sweets. Regrettably, the present-day Masamune has developed an aversion to sugary treats and calorie-laden fare as a result of the traumatic experience of being rejected and ridiculed due to his overweight physique. That singular occurrence during what was meant to be the highlight of their outing transforms into a minuscule divide between their emotions. Thus, yet again, a miscommunication initiates a new predicament for this burgeoning couple.

As mentioned earlier, in typical Japanese romantic comedies, the teasing occurs in the second act of the storyline. This is when the show runners playfully hint at the potential relationship between the two main protagonists, while introducing conflicts and obstacles.
