The PlayStation Store page for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has revealed that the game will include an accessibility option to slow down the gameplay. In addition to this feature, Insomniac has also detailed other accessibility features for the game. Both Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales had a wide range of accessibility options that allowed players to customize their gaming experience. These features can be adjusted at any point during the game and are designed to make the game more accessible to all players. For example, Spider-Man: Miles Morales included features like Chase Assist and Enhanced Auto Aim to make gameplay easier. Insomniac intends to continue this focus on accessibility with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and has teased an exciting new feature coming to the game.
As reported by Insider Gaming, the PlayStation store page for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 now showcases updated accessibility features, as revealed in the FAQs section. This includes a new feature where players can adjust the game's action speed, allowing them to experience it at 70%, 50%, or 30% of the full speed. Furthermore, players have the freedom to revert to the normal speed whenever they choose. This exciting addition follows its successful implementation in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, a game that was highly appreciated by fans. Moreover, the game's menus now incorporate an on-screen text-to-speech feature, providing an audible reading. Additionally, cinematic scenes in the game will offer audio descriptions for enhanced immersion.

Introducing a new dynamic to Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games has implemented a parry mechanic. Unlike the previous option of dodging attacks, players now have the ability to parry, which can significantly alter the combat experience. By slowing down the action, parrying attacks becomes more accessible to all players. Moreover, the game introduces some of Spider-Man's most formidable adversaries. Fans have already speculated that Harry Osborn will transform into Venom, a theory that was essentially confirmed through a trailer showcased at The Game Awards. Additionally, Peter will encounter the Symbiote suit, which will have a significant impact on the storyline. Another villain causing havoc in Manhattan is Kraven the Hunter, accompanied by his henchmen.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
