During Season 2 of Warzone 2.0, snipers were unable to take down a plated enemy with just one shot. Fortunately, the developers reintroduced the one-hit-down feature after the Saint Patrick’s Day Event in the Season 3 update.
However, it's important to note that the default rifles still lack the necessary power to achieve a one-hit kill. To accomplish this feat, players must equip specific attachments, adjust them properly, and aim for a headshot. This guide will provide you with the necessary steps to create a sniper build that is capable of achieving a one-shot-kill, even after all the changes in the latest season.
To achieve a one-shot kill with a sniper rifle, players must utilize Explosive Ammunition on a bolt-action rifle. However, it is important to note that only four specific weapons - the MCPR-300, Victus XMR, Signal 50, and FJX Imperium - are capable of achieving this type of kill.
.
Mag Explosives are a game-changing addition for heavy-action snipers, allowing them to take down fully plated enemies with just one shot to the body at close range and a headshot at long range. However, it's important to note that achieving a one-hit kill with rifles in Season 3 remains a challenge. Even with the most optimal build, you'll likely only down your opponent, rather than eliminate them.
For the best chance at achieving a one-hit down with a sniper, consider utilizing the following build:
For those looking to take down enemies with just one shot as a sniper, the MCPR-300 with the .300 Mag Explosive is the ideal build. To further enhance this loadout, players can add the Nilsound 90 muzzle, FSS OLV-E laser, Cronen Lion Stock, and 22” OMX-456 barrel.
To achieve maximum one-shot-down power with the MCPR-300, follow these tuning adjustments:
- Nilsound 90: increase from -0.23 to +0.65
- 22” OMX-45: decrease from +0.16 to -0.28
- FSS OLE-V: increase from +0.5 to -26.32
- Cronen Lion Stock: increase from +2.84 to +1.32
- .300 Mag Explosive: increase from +0.65 to +6.10.
To perfect a one-shot sniper, it's important to prioritize stability and fire rate over explosive rounds, which can reduce bullet velocity and accuracy at long range. While other attachments may increase the likelihood of a one-shot kill, the Mag Explosive is the only essential item for a bolt-action weapon.
To optimize this build, we recommend selecting Overkill and Double Time as Base Perks, Spotter as the Bonus Perk, and High Alert as the Ultimate. To complement the one-shot-kill setup, Throwing Knives make an effective Tactical choice and Semtex as the Lethal option.
Warzone 2.0 is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X & S.
