Nike, the official kit makers, finally permitted fans to buy the women's home, away, and third goalkeeper shirts on Monday through the FA website. Despite the lack of a formal announcement regarding their availability, all the available stock was swiftly bought up.

During the Women's World Cup in August, Nike faced criticism from fans and Earps for not offering the Lionesses' goalkeeper kit. The Manchester United goalkeeper, who received the Golden Glove award, played a crucial role in saving a penalty during the team's 1-0 final loss to Spain.

After the final, Nike initially justified their decision by stating that they were actively seeking resolutions for upcoming tournaments. However, Earps expressed her profound disappointment and emotional distress, prompting the brand to reverse their decision in less than a week. As a result, Nike announced the availability of a "limited" stock of shirts for purchase.

After the news of the Monday sell-out, Earps expressed her delight on Instagram, posting on her stories: "I had no idea these were going on sale today, and they're already sold out!"

Former Sports Minister Tracey Crouch voiced her concerns on X (formerly known as Twitter) when Nike initially announced the limited availability of the kit. Her remark highlighted the inadequacy of this "limited" run in meeting the demands of passionate fans - a concern that has since been proven valid. Crouch expressed her astonishment at a notable brand facing such predicament, further emphasizing the curiosity surrounding the definition of "limited quantity" and whether all sizes would be available. Considering the multitude of fans spanning various ages and body types, she anticipated a high demand for the product.
