How to join the United Colonies in Starfield

The Starfield United Colonies faction, known as the United Colonies Vanguard, presents a captivating quest named Supra Et Ultra. To embark on this journey, seek out Commander Tuala within the MAST headquarters building situated in the thriving city of New Atlantis, Jemison. In the earlier stages of the game, you will have the opportunity to explore this area and Commander Tuala himself will extend an invitation to join the United Colonies' civilian fleet.

If you accept Tuala's invitation, you are on the path to becoming a member of the United Colonies in Starfield. Here are your next steps:

Take the elevator to the Vanguard Orientation Hall.

Please confirm your agreement to enlist.

Feel free to take your time exploring the museum, which showcases historical events of the United Colonies. These exhibits include wars fought against the Va'ruun and Freestar Collective, along with the rise of Terrormorphs.

Explore the museum within the building, which houses galleries and displays that recount significant historic events.

The Simulation Test

Upon completion, proceed to the training area and step into the simulation pod. This particular challenge mandates your victory over enemy spacecraft in outer space, so be sure to utilize the weaponry and maneuverability of your own spacecraft. The objective is to conquer three out of six difficulty levels. Although surpassing the third battle is optional, it can lead to a higher score, should you choose to continue.

Once you have successfully conquered the third difficulty level, you are fully prepared for your initiation. Following the completion of the test, return to Tuala and accompany him to the open grounds in front of the building's entrance. There, he will request your allegiance to the United Colonies. Don't fret, as you will still have the opportunity to align yourself with other factions, such as the Freestar Collective, Ryujin Industries, and Crimson Fleet.
