S Tier

The Ultima Weapon is highly sought after by Kingdom Hearts players due to its exceptional design, resembling a heavenly artifact. It surpasses all other Keyblades in terms of stats, providing a substantial boost to both strength and MP. Unlike many other Keyblades, which either enhance strength or MP alone, Ultima Weapon excels in both aspects. Obtaining this Keyblade requires embarking on a thrilling treasure hunt, adding to its allure.

The Divine Rose, although slightly inferior to the Ultima Weapon, offers impressive utility. It boasts immense power, with high strength and critical hit stats. However, it lacks the MP buff that the Ultima Weapon provides. The Keyblade showcases a captivating rose design, which is widely regarded as one of the finest in the game, but it still falls short compared to the esteemed Ultima Weapon of Kingdom Hearts.

Lionheart: With one of the highest strength boosts in the game, the Keyblade exudes power. While it may not match the top-ranked Keyblades, its slight MP boost makes it a favorable choice for some players. Its sleek and intimidating design adds a ferocious aura when wielded. Obtaining Lionheart can be challenging, as it requires overcoming the frustrating joint boss fight against Kingdom Hearts Cloud and Leon.

Lady Luck: This Keyblade is ideal for players seeking a versatile approach, as it offers significant boosts to both strength and magic. While it may not excel in any single stat compared to other weapons, its balanced power distribution appeals to many. The design flawlessly combines elements from Kingdom Hearts and Wonderland.

Oathkeeper: Unlike Lady Luck, Oathkeeper is a versatile Keyblade that focuses more on strength rather than magic. This makes both Keyblades equally effective, and the player's choice ultimately depends on whether they desire an extra MP bar or more powerful attacks. Additionally, Oathkeeper has a visually pleasing design, although it does bear a resemblance to a slightly toned-down Ultima Weapon. Interestingly, it is one of the few Kingdom Hearts Keyblades that can be dual-wielded.

B Tier

The Diamond Dust Keyblade offers a distinct appeal for Kingdom Hearts players who focus heavily on magic throughout their journey. However, its usefulness may be limited outside of such specific builds. With its unparalleled +3 MP boost, no other Keyblade in the game can provide such a benefit. Yet, it should be noted that the Diamond Dust Keyblade lacks physical strength. Nonetheless, its striking design ensures that it will undoubtedly make a statement in the player's hands.

Olympia: Obtaining the Olympia Keyblade can be quite challenging as it requires completing the three major cups at Olympus Coliseum. However, the rewards are certainly worth it for players seeking a build focused on raw power. With its high strength and crit, it gives the impression of being crafted from the very stones of the Coliseum.

Fairy Harp: While the Fairy Harp Keyblade packs a punch, the latest version of Kingdom Hearts has made it feel somewhat average in the late game. This is due to a decrease in the weapon's crit rate and bonus. Although it still boasts a decent strength stat and a +1 boost to MP, its rather lackluster design doesn't do it any favors.

Pumpkinhead: With its solid reach, strong stats, and easier critical hits, Pumpkinhead proves to be a valuable Keyblade during the game. Its design perfectly complements the reskin of Sora in the world where it is obtained. While not the best Keyblade for endgame, players can still make good use of it for a considerable period.

Spellbinder: Any player focusing on magic will find Spellbinder essential, as it provides a significant boost to magical power and expands the MP bar by +2. Although it may be replaced by more powerful magical Keyblades later on, Spellbinder remains great for casting spells in the mid-game. Its enchantingly mystical design adds to its appeal, even if it may appear slightly unconventional to wield in the world of Kingdom Hearts.

C Tier

Enhanced Desires: This Keyblade boasts an enticing and vibrant design, capturing the player's attention and tempting them to wield it for much longer than its practicality allows. While initially advantageous in the early stages of the game, particularly within the first couple of worlds following Agrabah, its effectiveness quickly diminishes in comparison to the multitude of Keyblades available after reaching the midpoint of the game.

The Kingdom Key serves as the original Keyblade in the game. Its timeless design holds a certain charm, although it may not possess the same level of intricacy or awe-inspiring features as some of the later designs. It is remarkable that Square Enix managed to transform a large key into a weapon that players could wield with seriousness. This unique concept is something that only Kingdom Hearts could successfully pull off. However, it falls under the category of less desirable weapons primarily due to its lack of distinctive advantages. As the default key for every player, it is often set aside once they acquire Keyblades that offer tangible buffs.

Oblivion: This Keyblade has a striking design, appearing almost alien and reminiscent of Riku after being fully possessed by Ansem in Kingdom Hearts. However, its usefulness is somewhat diminished by the fact that it reduces MP. Although Oblivion does compensate for this to some extent by providing a stronger strength buff compared to other MP-reducing Keyblades, it still falls short of being impressive.

Jungle King: The extended reach of this Keyblade enhances its combat effectiveness, even though it lacks utility in other aspects. In terms of design, Jungle King fails to make a significant impact on players. It is neither particularly impressive nor particularly underwhelming. Essentially, it is a Keyblade that falls in the middle of the pack.

Wishing Star: Despite its somewhat interesting appearance, the Wishing Star Keyblade may seem flimsy and lacking in style. However, its unique ability to efficiently acquire Mystery Mold items from Black Fungus enemies sets it apart, making it an essential choice for farming purposes. While not recommended for regular combat, it proves invaluable for such endeavors.

Crabclaw: The Crabclaw Keyblade boasts decent stats considering the point in the game it is acquired, particularly its beneficial boost to the MP bar. However, its design flaw is undeniable, as it ranks among the most impractical Keyblades in Kingdom Hearts. Resembling more of a decoration for a seafood restaurant rather than an effective weapon, its aesthetic falls short.

D Tier

Metal Chocobo may disappoint fans who were hoping for a more visually appealing Keyblade inspired by Final Fantasy. Unfortunately, it falls short, resembling a shrapnel rather than Cloud's iconic Buster Sword. Additionally, its weak strength buff, paired with the fact that it reduces MP, renders Metal Chocobo somewhat obsolete compared to a similar Keyblade.

The design of One-Winged Angel somewhat redeems it, as it boasts a visually stunning appearance resembling a flaming sword adorned with intricate ornaments. However, this Keyblade's usefulness is where it falters. Despite being promoted as a low-power Keyblade with devastating critical hits, its critical hit rate is actually quite poor. Moreover, obtaining One-Winged Angel requires defeating Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts, further diminishing its practical value and relegating it to superficial appeal.
