Capable of hurling hatchets across long distances, Dead by Daylight's Huntress excels at manipulating the map and herding Survivors into her deadly line of vision. While she may be slightly slower than the average Killer, she compensates with her precision in throwing hatchets, which can incapacitate even the most seasoned Survivors.
This guide for Dead by Daylight will showcase two optimal builds that players can employ when playing as The Huntress, effectively complementing her unique skillset. These builds encompass a mix of teachable and non-teachable perks, catering to Killers of different levels of experience in the game.
The Huntress: Best Build (2023)
The Huntress, being a slower-moving Killer, benefits from perks that hinder generator progress and allow for better Survivor tracking. For example, using Corrupt Intervention will delay early game progression and force Survivors to stay in close proximity to one another. Additionally, The Ghost Face's Thrilling Tremors can reveal which Generators are being worked on and which ones have made substantial progress.
Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) - At the beginning of the trial, the three generators farthest away from the Killer's starting point are blocked for 120 seconds or until the first Survivor gets injured.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – The Killer begins with four tokens. Whenever a Survivor is hooked on a non-bloodied Scourge Hook, one token is lost, and the generator with the highest progress explodes, resulting in a loss of 25% progression.
Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – After hooking a Survivor, kicking a generator in the next 45 seconds will remove 30% of its current progress.
The Huntress: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)
Thrilling Tremors (The Ghost Face) – When a Survivor is picked up, the Entity blocks all generators that are not currently being repaired for a duration of 16 seconds. This powerful effect can only be activated once every 60 seconds.
By denying access to various escape routes and depleting Survivor resources, this powerful build gradually weakens the Survivors throughout the game. With the enhanced abilities of Claustrophobia and Bitter Murmur, The Huntress becomes capable of revealing Survivors' locations after a generator is completed while simultaneously blocking their access to nearby vaults. By utilizing the time-slowing effect of Jolt, players can apply constant pressure until the Endgame Collapse is triggered, activating the formidable Hex: No One Escapes Death.
Claustrophobia (General Perk) - Upon the completion of a generator, all vault locations will be immediately blocked for a duration of 30 seconds.
Bitter Murmur (General Perk) - Whenever a generator is completed, the auras of Survivors within a 16-meter range of that generator will be temporarily exposed for a duration of 5 seconds. Once the final generator is finished, the auras of all Survivors will be revealed for a period of 10 seconds.
Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – Once the last generator is finished, survivors will be afflicted with the Exposed status ailment, while users will enjoy a 4% Haste effect until the Hex Totem is purified.
Jolt (General Perk) – When a Survivor is taken down, all generators within a 32-meter radius will lose 8% progress.
Dead by Daylight is currently available for Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
