Starfield’s cyberpunk city, Neon, is a bustling and densely populated location within the game. Players can fully immerse themselves in the city's captivating activities and intriguing locations, such as the ongoing feud between the Strikers and Disciples gangs and the unauthorized creation and smuggling of the contraband, Aurora. Adding to the city's allure is the presence of the Ryujin Industries faction, a renowned mega-corporation specializing in technological innovations. Engaging in various corporate espionage missions is a key aspect of interacting with this faction.
One of the missions offered by Ryujin, titled "One Step Ahead," requires players to visit CeltCorp, a mining company located in the Trade Tower building within Bayu Plaza. Inside CeltCorp's offices, players can discover an additional side quest named "Hard Luck." To initiate this quest, players can approach Clover MacKenna, who is situated behind the main reception desk. Accessing the CeltCorp offices can be accomplished by taking the elevator located on the right-hand side of the entrance to the Astral Lounge in Trade Tower.
How To Convince Saburo To Take The Loan
When players speak with Clover, she informs them about her friend Saburo Okadigbo. Saburo owes CeltCorp a significant amount of money but has not been able to pay it off. Worried about his situation, Clover asks the player to talk to him and offer to help pay off the debt. Saburo can be found in the Mining League building on the main strip of Neon.
At first, Saburo may be hesitant to accept the offer, and players might need to use persuasion to convince him. If persuasion fails, players can choose to pay off the debt themselves for 1000 credits. After speaking with Saburo again, he will give the quest "Saburo's Solution," where players need to distribute leaflets to various merchants in Neon. However, completing this quest will not have any impact on the "Hard Luck" storyline and will not unlock any new dialogue or persuasion options with Saburo.
How To Find Clover's Diary
If players are unsuccessful in persuading Saburo and do not want to pay off the debt themselves, they can gather additional evidence by completing the optional objective of finding Clover's Diary. It is recommended to retrieve the diary from the CeltCorp offices before trying to convince Saburo. The diary is located on a desk at the far end of the offices and is guarded by an armed individual. If caught taking it, the guard will become hostile and consider it theft.
Once the diary is obtained, players will have a new dialogue option when speaking with Saburo. The diary reveals Clover's affection for Saburo, causing him to accept the offer and become enthusiastic about their future correspondence. Players can then return to Clover and receive a reward of 2000 credits. This quest can be completed before or after "One Step Ahead," but if players are caught stealing during the mission, the area may still be hostile upon their return.
Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
