Unlock the Secrets of Destiny 2 Offerings: Tips to Earn and Master their Use!

Increase your ally's power in Season 22 of Destiny 2 by using Offerings Discover how to effectively utilize these items and uncover reliable methods to earn more Offerings

Destiny 2's Season 22, known as the Season of the Witch, has kicked off, introducing two exciting activities for Guardians to partake in: Savathun's Spire and Altars of Summoning. Following a brief introductory quest, players will notice the arrival of Offerings, unique items with varying degrees of strength. These Offerings hold the key to progressing through the activities of Season 22 in Destiny 2. Once players discover how to leverage these Offerings, they will undoubtedly strive to collect as many as possible.

During the Season of the Witch, Eris Morn, a former Guardian who now bears the Hive's influence, embarks on a ritual to acquire immense power and achieve the status of Hive god of vengeance. This risky move is a desperate attempt to secure the support of Savathûn, a notorious antagonist, while simultaneously eliminating the threat posed by Xivu Arath, the Hive god of war and Savathûn's sister. As part of this undertaking, players will ascend Savathun's Spire, unlocking access to the Altars of Summoning. Here, they will engage in intense battles against various foes, offering their own strength as tribute to the newly appointed Hive god of vengeance. This is where the importance of Offerings comes into play.

How To Use Offerings

Once Guardians have completed the Season 22 opening mission, they will have the option to freely participate in either the Savathun's Spire or Altars of Summoning activity. While the Spire holds numerous secrets and rewards, the Altars of Summoning offer players the opportunity to use Offerings and potentially receive a variety of loot, including blueprints for new craftable weapons in Season 22. The best part is that players can continuously complete the Altars of Summoning without exiting the activity, as long as they have enough Offerings.

Upon entering the activity, players will be directed to one of three arenas. Each arena is equipped with four interactive totems at the entrance, where players can make their Offerings. Each totem corresponds to a specific type of Offering, and players will only be able to interact with totems if they have the corresponding Offerings in their inventory. These totems are easily distinguishable, as they have a large floating green glyph above them.

There are four totems by every arena, but the game currently only has three different types of Offerings. These initial three Offerings, similar to gear, are tiered and include a green Feeble Offering, a blue Robust Offering, and a purple Powerful Offering. The difficulty of the encounter Guardians are about to start is determined by the quality of the Offering. It also affects the number of rewards that appear at the end when players collect their tithe. Higher tier Offerings not only provide a faster path to rewards but also require fewer encounters between tithe chests and offer more opportunities to use Witch's Keys for additional loot. The Feeble Offering is associated with Tier 1 encounter difficulty.

How To Earn More Offerings

In Season 22, Offerings serve as the primary currency. Players can acquire these items through various activities, similar to how they have obtained past seasonal currencies. Engaging in challenging options will yield higher-tiered Offerings, while participating in any of the three main playlists (Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit) can quickly provide some Offerings. Those who are confident in taking on Dungeons, Raids, Nightfalls, or Trials of Osiris will have better chances of earning Robust or Powerful Offerings.

In addition to the regular currency flow, the Season 22 armor includes a special perk called "Exhumed Excess." This perk increases the likelihood of earning extra Offerings when players complete activities. The buff can be applied by a single piece of gear, but it can be stacked up to four times by using different pieces of equipment.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
