In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will encounter various beloved Disney characters who become a part of their Village. After completing the main storyline's initial major arc, a new character, known as the Forgotten, joins the community. The Forgotten represents a previous version of the player's character and played a crucial role in the Forgetting, an event that erased memories and brought about adverse changes in the Valley.
Once players finish the first major quest series in Dreamlight Valley, which concludes with "The Dark Castle," the Forgotten undergoes a transformation. Eager to assimilate into Dreamlight Valley, a new quest series featuring the Forgotten becomes available. One of these quests, called "Poetic Justice," is designed to assist the Forgotten in adjusting to their reformed life. This guide will lead players through the necessary steps to successfully complete the quest "Poetic Justice" in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start “Poetic License”
Once the player completes the Forgotten's previous quest, "Acts of Care," they unlock the Poetic License quest. In this quest, the player's shadowy doppelganger discovers a fresh love for poetry, using it as a form of solace to deal with their past and the events surrounding the Forgetting.
How to Complete “Poetic License”
Upon connecting with the Forgotten, they reveal their newfound passion for poetry, which has become a valuable emotional outlet for them. Despite their talent, they are faced with the challenge of finding the ideal concluding lines for their three rhymes. In order to lend a helping hand, the player recommends seeking guidance from the Valley's residents, who may have encountered comparable situations and can offer invaluable wisdom.
Find The Right Villagers To Help
While Dreamlight Valley is full of characters who are more than willing to chat, the quest requires the player to seek and speak with three specific residents:
Scar is ”the jealous wannabe ruler”
Mother Gothel is “someone afraid of getting older”
Ursula is an individual who has been subjected to unjust exile.
Several other characters will have quest markers displaying the Dreamlight symbol, but only the aforementioned three will supply the elusive verses for the Forgotten's poems.

Speak With Mother Gothel
Mother Gothel, next in line, vehemently refutes her dread of growing old. Yet, her retort bears a poetic grace that perfectly completes the eluded verse of our second rhyme.
As I watched the clock tick and the sun rise and set,
I fear what I love, I am doomed to forget.
But I’ve never been one to do what I’m told,
I’ll care for myself. Charm will never grow old!
Speak With Ursula (or “Vanessa”)
Finally, the player must find Ursula, who can be found in either her sea witch or "Vanessa" Dream Style form. She recounts her unjust banishment by King Triton, paralleling the sentiment expressed in the Forgotten's poem, and delivers the ideal concluding statement.
And all of my words seem to come out all wrong.
But I’ll wait for an answer, I’ll wait for a sign,
And one day take back what is rightfully mine.
Setting The Stage
After conversing with the aforementioned trio, players are required to rejoin the Forgotten in order to share their poetic contributions. As all parts of the poem have been successfully crafted, the Forgotten desires to showcase them to the inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley. To establish a designated space known as "the Forgotten's Poetry Corner," players must gather the following items:

Once the player has acquired these items, they are to return to the Forgotten and deliver them. The Forgotten will then proceed to construct the location for their poetry reading and request the player to position it within any part of the Forgotten Lands.
Attend The Poetry Reading
Before the commencement of the poetry presentation, the Forgotten seeks assistance for a final poem, wherein the player is tasked with delivering the concluding rhyme. The player is given the liberty to select any of the suggested options provided to successfully conclude the poem.
Once the Forgotten's poem reaches its conclusion, an enticing photo prompt emerges, urging the player to skillfully employ their Camera to seize the moment together with the villagers in attendance. Following the inspiring performance, filled with a renewed sense of assurance, the Forgotten ponders the possibility of acquiring a fresh identity.
Upon successful completion of the quest, players will be rewarded with the Even More Miraculous Pickaxe Polish as a gesture of appreciation. However, it is important to note that the Forgotten's Poetry Corner will be permanently removed from both the Forgotten Lands and the player's furniture collection following the quest's conclusion.
