After accessing the locked room in Pilgrim's Rest and reading the final writing of the Pilgrim, players in Starfield will need to embark on a mission to locate an item known as the Scorpion's Sting. This entails traveling to the Ancient Ruins area of Hyla II, where they will encounter a peculiar glyph.
Initially, players may be under the impression that nothing occurs when attempting to activate the Scorpion's Sting glyph, causing speculation as to whether they are doing something incorrectly. Some Starfield players may even venture out in search of additional powers in the hopes that one of them will enable them to activate the glyph at last. However, it turns out that the solution to the Scorpion's Sting puzzle is actually quite straightforward.
How to Activate the Scorpion's Sting Glyph
What many players may not realize is that the Scorpion's Sting glyph functions as a celestial D-pad. When a specific section of the glyph is activated, a beam of light moves accordingly. This fact may not be apparent if players simply tap the activate button instead of holding it down. However, once players grasp this concept, solving the puzzle becomes remarkably simple and can be accomplished within mere seconds.
In order to successfully complete the Scorpion's Sting puzzle on Hyla II, players must maneuver the beam of light downwards and to the left until it aligns with the final star of the Scorpius constellation on the ground below. Once the beam of light hits the star, a luminous sphere will materialize above it, indicating that the solution has been discovered. As a result, the players' active main story objective will be updated, prompting them to proceed to Oborum III within the Oborum Prime system.
What's at the End of the Scorpion's Sting?
Upon arriving at Oborum Prime, players will come across the Scorpius spacecraft and have the option to communicate with the Hunter. Currently engaged in a meeting with a fellow Starborn called the Emissary, it is revealed that the Emissary was the one who previously cautioned players about pursuing the Artifacts in the game. Inviting the playable character aboard, the pair will then divulge information about the Starborn and the Unity. At this point, the Emissary will entrust players with a key that holds the answers to Earth's mysterious fate.
