Microsoft has unveiled a novel offering that deviates from their usual focus on gaming products. Teaming up with Barclays, the company will introduce an Xbox-affiliated credit card in the United States.
Introducing the Xbox Mastercard, this credit card stands out with its enticing perks designed specifically to captivate gamers. Notably, customers can earn 5 times the card points for purchases made at the Microsoft Store, along with 3 times the points for Netflix and Disney+ subscriptions. Moreover, ordering through Grubhub and DoorDash awards users with 3 times the points, while all other purchases yield 1 times the points.
Additionally, upon making their initial purchase, cardholders will receive 5,000 card points, equivalent to approximately $50 in value. Moreover, they will also enjoy a three-month subscription to Game Pass Ultimate. Notably, existing Game Pass subscribers have the option to gift this subscription to another individual.
The Xbox Mastercard offers the choice of five unique designs (refer to the image above). Furthermore, users have the opportunity to personalize the card by adding their gamertag. It remains unspecified whether there is an additional fee associated with this service.
The Xbox Mastercard will be offered exclusively to Xbox Insiders in the US starting September 21. Those who are not Xbox Insiders can submit their applications beginning in 2024.

It should be noted that individuals whose Microsoft accounts are suspended or locked will forfeit their account benefits, indicating that individuals who breach Microsoft's code of conduct may lose their credit card privileges.
The APRs for this card are 20.99%, 26.99% or 31.99%, based on creditworthiness.
