A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has created an aircraft that appears to have infinite power. When the game was released in 2023, fans were thrilled by the countless customization options available to Link through his new abilities, Ultrahand and Fuse, which allow players to combine different building materials to create almost anything.
Since the game's release, players have taken to social media to showcase their impressive creations in Nintendo's expansive open-world adventure. Among these, one player has demonstrated a unique battle boat that can operate both on land and water, eliminating hordes of Bokoblins. However, it should be noted that these vehicles are powered by Zonai batteries, which have a limited lifespan and will eventually deplete.
One Reddit user named LunisequiouS has discovered a solution to the Zonai setback by developing a fully self-sustaining aircraft. In a video shared on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, LunisequiouS demonstrates an electric-powered aircraft that operates using conductive materials found in the land of Hyrule. This innovative build becomes active when Link steps on the control pad, requiring him to wear a shield with a shock emitter attached in order to complete the circuit and enable takeoff.
Fans on the subreddit are highly appreciative not only of the aircraft itself, but also of the fact that sustainable flight can now be maintained throughout Link's adventure without the need to pause or add extra batteries. Previously, players had to collect Zonai batteries to ensure prolonged flight capability.
Regrettably, Nintendo has not allowed players to download or share custom Autobuild schematics, much to the disappointment of fans. If players wish to recreate this flying contraption, they will need to closely analyze the video to find the necessary materials.
Despite the lack of sharing builds, Link's latest adventure in Hyrule continues to serve as a creative outlet for gamers. With the available resources, players can bring their imaginations to life and create almost anything. One Tears of the Kingdom player successfully repaired Zelda's bridge using the recall ability and a dragon scale. Although it took nearly two hours to construct, this achievement, along with the LunisequiouS flying machine, showcases the vast openness of Tears of the Kingdom.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
