The martial arts crime drama series Warrior is the realization of a vision by the late Bruce Lee, one of the greatest action stars of all time. Originally conceptualized by Lee, who penned a treatment for the project before his passing in 1973, Warrior was brought to life by a team of talented filmmakers led by Jonathan Tropper and Shannon Lee. After airing for two seasons on Cinemax, the series found a new home on Max for its highly anticipated third season.
From its debut season, Warrior has captivated audiences with its thrilling highs and heart-wrenching lows, and its intense action has been enhanced by a dynamic musical score composed by H. Scott Salinas and Reza Safinia. Drawing from their extensive musical backgrounds, Salinas and Safinia have crafted a soundtrack that perfectly complements the world of Warrior. Salinas, renowned for his work on projects like The Fourth Estate and Sea of Shadows, brings his exceptional composing skills to the table, while Safinia, known for his collaborations with artists such as Britney Spears and Dr. Dre, contributes as a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Screen Rant is thrilled to exclusively present a pivotal track from an upcoming album featuring the duo's remarkable work on Warrior. Take a listen:

Across its long duration, "The Final Battle" combines powerful orchestral elements, contemporary electronic production, and hints of Ennio Morricone to match the tension and excitement of Warrior. Most of the music features us playing instruments simultaneously, and even when composing the orchestral sections, we collaborated on different parts in the same room and shared ideas as we progressed. As a result, the entire score resembles a concept album created by a band. In the previous two seasons, we established the soundscapes of 90s hip hop and indie rock guitars fused with Sergio Leone's cinematic strings. However, this season, we intentionally let go of that mindset. While elements of it still remain in the DNA of our work for the show, we were primarily influenced by a specific Pink Floyd album called "Obscured by Clouds."

"The Final Battle" is the opening track of the 15-track album, Warrior: Season 3—Original Series Soundtrack, despite its misleading title. Scheduled for release on July 14th, the full album will showcase more of the distinct fusion of styles that have established Salinas and Safinia as standout contributors to the series. While the duo has truly made the soundtrack their own, the captivating energy they've captured remains true to the show's vision and would undeniably complement Bruce Lee's iconic movie moments.
