Scarlet Cyclone - Phoenix Eikonic AbilityHeatwave - Phoenix Eikonic Ability
In Final Fantasy 16, Clive possesses unique abilities known as Eikonic Abilities, which allow him to tap into the power of the game's iconic summons to enhance his combat skills. The first Eikonic Abilities that players unlock are bestowed upon them by Phoenix, one of the Eikons. However, these abilities remain relevant and useful throughout the game, even as new ones become available. With Phoenix's blessing, Clive gains access to three distinct Eikonic Abilities and an Eikonic Feat. However, players can only equip two Eikonic Abilities and one Eikonic Feat per Eikon, forcing them to make strategic choices regarding which of Phoenix's powers to utilize.
Of course, personal preference plays a significant role in determining the preferred abilities for individual Final Fantasy 16 players. However, certain abilities of Phoenix hold an advantage over others either due to their higher damage output or their ease of use. Analyzing each ability in detail will assist players in making the best decision.
Scarlet Cyclone - Phoenix Eikonic Ability
Scarlet Cyclone, one of Phoenix's Eikonic Abilities, can be considered as one of the weaker ones, although it still possesses its own merits. Clive utilizes the wings of the Phoenix to create a spinning motion, inflicting fire damage to nearby enemies within a limited area of effect. However, it is worth noting that this ability does not deliver significant damage, making it less effective against formidable bosses. Its true potential lies in its ability to swiftly eliminate groups of weaker enemies, although this can often be achieved without relying on Eikonic Abilities. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve an ability slot for a more advantageous option.
Heatwave - Phoenix Eikonic Ability
Heatwave, a contender for the best Eikonic Ability from Phoenix, presents a challenge due to its complexity. This skill creates a formidable wall of fire that acts as a barrier against any type of magical attack. In the absence of an incoming attack, it unleashes a single wave of scorching flames towards the intended target (or two waves if upgraded), inflicting damage upon all adversaries in its path. However, when executed as a successful counter to a magical assault, it transforms into a powerful assault of two intensified waves (or four waves if upgraded). Skilled individuals who master this ability can utilize it effectively, as it provides Clive with both a defensive and offensive option that can be simultaneously employed.
Rising Flames - Phoenix Eikonic Ability
Rising Flames has become a staple for Clive players since it is available right from the start of the game. From the moment he sparred with Lord Commander Murdoch, Clive gained access to this straightforward yet powerful ability. By summoning the fiery wing of the Phoenix, Clive can launch his enemies into the air, inflicting substantial damage and setting them ablaze. Its user-friendly mechanics make it easy to employ, and in the hands of experienced players, it can be even more devastating when utilized to initiate aerial combos.
