In addition to a large collection of firearms and melee weapons, players in Remnant 2 can also choose from a diverse selection of Weapon Mods to enhance their builds. These mods serve as valuable assets that can bridge any gaps in a build and optimize certain load-outs. Understanding the mechanics of Mod Power, a crucial resource in utilizing Weapon Mods effectively, is essential for players to maximize the potential of their gear combinations.

What is Mod Power, and How Does It Work?

Mod Power is the currency players use to activate Weapon Mods. It is represented by a ring surrounding the mod icon in the lower-right corner of the HUD. The ring gradually fills up every time players successfully land a shot or attack on an enemy.

The amount of Mod Power generated varies depending on the type of weapon. Single-shot firearms generate more Mod Power per hit compared to automatic weapons. Additionally, melee weapons generate Mod Power for all equipped firearms.

Similarly, each Weapon Mod has its own unique Mod Power Requirements. Players can easily view these requirements by hovering their mouse over the mod in the selection screen or inspecting their weapons in their inventories. The mod with the highest requirement is Defrag, which requires 1,500 Mod Power. On the contrary, the Bloodline mod from the Merciless Long Gun has the lowest requirement at 350.

Crafted melee weapons obtained from boss drops or specific areas may include pre-installed mods. These mods do not demand any Mod Power, but they typically can only be used after executing specific attacks such as Charged Attacks or normal swings immediately following a neutral backstep.

Equipping accessories or utilizing consumable items allows players to significantly enhance their inherent Mod Power generation. The following items should be taken into account when constructing a build focused on mods:

- Kinetic Shield Exchanger: Activate a SHIELD to acquire a 25% increase in Mod damage and an additional 15% Mod Power boost.

Burden of the Follower - Reduces fire rate by 15% but increases Mod Power generation by 50%

Cataloger's Jewel - Automatically generates 8 Mod Power per second

Dense Silicon Ring - Gain 200% of regenerated health as Mod Power

Faerin's Sigil - Critical and Weakspot hits generate 10% more Mod Power

Faelin's Sigil - Melee hits generate more Mod Power
