A Zelda fan created a unique piece of armor for one of the dragons in Tears of the Kingdom that works defensively and offensively.

In Tears of the Kingdom, players have the thrilling opportunity to ride and explore dragons, acquiring valuable items and more powerful arrows by targeting specific body parts. However, although the dragon armor may appear impressive, it lacks practical functionality in terms of controlling the dragon and is only temporary, disappearing if the player ventures too far. Nonetheless, it remains a truly awe-inspiring spectacle.

A skilled fan of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has created an impressive armor for one of the dragons that serves both defensively and offensively. This video elevates the experience of watching Link ride a dragon to an entirely new level.

One of the most astonishing moments in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild occurred when players first encountered a dragon soaring through the sky. In Breath of the Wild, there were three dragons: Farosh (electricity), Dinraal (fire), and Naydra (ice). In Tears of the Kingdom, these three dragons return, along with a newly introduced fourth dragon called the Light Dragon. Unlike before, players now have the opportunity to interact closely with these majestic creatures. Tears of the Kingdom offers various methods for Link to take flight and land on any of them. Exploring the back of each dragon rewards Link with valuable items, and shooting arrows at specific body parts yields even more powerful rewards. Despite their peaceful nature, the dragons provide some of the most tranquil moments in the game.

Thanks to Roththesloth1 on Reddit, who shared a video previously posted on social media by _dadthatgames, the once peaceful appearance of the four dragons in Tears of the Kingdom has been changed. The video showcases Link standing on the head of the Light Dragon, wearing a Zonai device helmet. The camera rotates to highlight the impressive look, and the Light Dragon appears to be accepting of it. Link then activates all the attached weapons simultaneously using the steering stick in the middle of the helmet, resulting in a magnificent display of cannons and flames.

Although it may seem challenging to construct this armor on a flying dragon, the process was probably simpler than expected, thanks to the Zonai bubbles in Tears of the Kingdom. After landing on the dragon, all the player had to do was drop a Wing and construct the rest of the helmet using Carts, a Steering Stick, Flame Emitters, and a few cannons. To ensure longer device operation, they also made sure to attach an ample number of batteries.

While the armor may appear impressive, it lacks practicality. The Steering Stick may activate all the devices, but it does not control the movement of the dragon. Moreover, once Link distances himself from the Light Dragon, each device will vanish. Players anticipating using this armor for enemy assaults will be let down. Nevertheless, for a brief period, they can enjoy a visually stunning appearance.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be accessed on Nintendo Switch.
