The Astropath is a boss battle in Remnant 2, located in the world of N'Erud. This world is filled with various boss encounters and events for players to discover. The Astropath is a phantom-like boss and can be one of the more difficult bosses to locate in the maze-like dungeon of Astropath's Respite.
While not one of the hardest bosses in Remnant 2, the Astropath possesses unique attacks that can pose a challenge, even in co-op gameplay. However, by learning the best strategies to defeat the Astropath, players are rewarded with another craftable mod ingredient in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 Astropath Boss Guide and Location
Interacting with a peculiar chair in the upper level of Astropath's Respite triggers the Astropath boss battle for players. Initially appearing to be a dead end, the chair is actually a hidden elevator mechanism that ensnares the player, transporting them to a circular room with a mesmerizing purple orb-like hologram at its center.
Additionally, players have the option to descend to the lower floor using a nearby elevator. The circular room housing Astropath is situated below the topmost level of Astropath's Respite, as indicated in the map location depicted below:
Upon entering the circular room, players are greeted with a mesmerizing cut scene depicting the fascinating amalgamation of pink and yellow skeletal entities. This eerie spectacle culminates in the formation of the formidable Astropath boss, who now stands before the players as their daunting adversary. For those venturing into the world of Remnant 2, especially beginners, this encounter may prove to be quite challenging. As a result, players might find themselves initially struggling against the Astropath boss or seeking the assistance of fellow players to bring it down. To survive this fierce battle, players must familiarize themselves with the Astropath boss's repertoire of devastating attacks and learn how to successfully evade or counter them. A total of five core attacks have been observed, and mastering the art of evasion and countering is pivotal in overcoming this formidable opponent.
Maintain distance and deal damage with guns and projectiles to maximize effectiveness. Avoid taking damage from the charged-up, rotating segment force field by stepping or rolling into the segment gaps when it turns red. Shoot the orb in the center of the hologram, which represents the Astropath, during intervals between charges.
A powerful surge of energy pulsates through the hologram as the Astropath retreats, causing it to blaze in vibrant red hues. In addition, the hologram releases a formidable wave of energy that appears nearly impossible to evade. However, players can evade this onslaught by executing a well-timed dodge roll. Still, frequently they may be required to endure the impact, underscoring the significance of vigilantly monitoring their health.
Players must dodge yellow orb projectiles and minions by rolling, while also using a ranged or melee weapon to shoot or slash the skeletal minions.
When the room turns black, players should dodge incoming orbs and focus on targeting spectral minions. These minions teleport and disappear into the floor, so it is important to keep distance and avoid their punishing close-range swipes.
Astropath Boss Battle Mod Reward In Remnant 2

To create the mod, players will need to combine the Seeker Residue with 5 Lumenite Crystals and 650 pieces of scrap. The Helix mod fires a spiral of missiles at enemies, splitting into six smaller rockets upon impact and dealing a total of 30 damage. Additionally, players will also earn trait points in Remnant 2 by acquiring the Tome of Knowledge, Lumenite Crystal, Iron, and Scrap.
