Microsoft has launched a fresh marketing campaign for Xbox, starting with a live-action trailer and a cameo on the Las Vegas Sphere. This debut coincides with the completion of the long-awaited Activision Blizzard acquisition on October 13.

October ushers in a new chapter for Xbox, with Microsoft now the official owner of Activision Blizzard King. The company is expected to make significant strides in the mobile gaming industry. In a recent interview on the Official Xbox Podcast, Phil Spencer revealed that the decision to acquire the gaming conglomerate was driven by the brand's aspiration to expand into the mobile sector for sustained growth.

Perhaps in celebration of this new phase of Xbox or simply as a coincidence, Microsoft has launched a new marketing campaign that, as insider Tom Warren reveals, will continue throughout the holiday season. Titled "Power Your Dreams," the campaign debuted with an impressive three-minute video highlighting some of the most highly anticipated and recognizable games on Xbox, including Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Forza Motorsport, Cyberpunk 2077, and the much-anticipated Starfield.

On October 19, Xbox made its debut on the Las Vegas Sphere, a perfect location to showcase the iconic round X logo. Similar to the "Power Your Dreams" trailer, the one-minute showcase highlighted the same four games and the current lineup of Xbox Series consoles. Undeniably, it was an exhilarating sight for many gamers in the Las Vegas area on a Thursday evening.

With the regulatory process lasting 20 months, the closure of the Activision Blizzard deal has sparked anticipation among many. Phil Spencer, Xbox head, reiterated in a podcast that Call of Duty titles will not become exclusive to Xbox. Moreover, it may take some time for any ABK releases to be added to Xbox Game Pass due to the logistical challenges involved in merging numerous new teams under the Xbox umbrella. The uncertainty surrounding the deal prevented the inclusion of the Activision Blizzard catalog on the subscription service until October. However, Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of exciting new games in the long run. Spencer even identified several ABK franchises that should be revisited and brought back to the forefront.
