Unleashing the Power: AMD's Ryzen 5 7500F Rivals 7600X in Performance - Surprising Benchmarks Revealed!

AMD's upcoming Ryzen 5 7500F impresses with leaked benchmarks, showcasing remarkable value for money While lacking a release date, early performance tests suggest comparable performance to the 7600X, making it an enticing option for budget-conscious gamers

AMD has not yet made an official announcement about the budget Ryzen 5 7500F processor, which does not include integrated graphics (iGPU). However, leaked benchmarks indicate that the CPU has the potential to offer excellent value, with performance comparable to the Ryzen 5 7600X but at a lower expected price. These benchmarks also reveal some specifications of the CPU, including 6 cores, 12 threads, and a base clock speed of 3.7GHz.

The Ryzen 7000 series processors were launched in late August of the previous year and provided a cost-effective alternative to Intel's processors. The lineup included the entry-level AMD Ryzen 5 7600, featuring 6 cores, 12 threads, and a 65W thermal design power (TDP), as well as the high-end Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which boasted 16 cores, 32 threads, and a 120W TDP (although not the highest for the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs). However, all these CPUs included RDNA 2 integrated GPUs or iGPUs, and there has been anticipation for models without iGPUs. The Ryzen 5 7500F appears to be the first processor in that lineup.

Twitter user @Olrak29_ recently discovered the presence of the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F on Geekbench, a popular benchmarking site for processors and devices. The processor, identified as the "AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 6-Core Processor," boasts impressive specifications including 6 cores, 12 threads, a base clock speed of 3.7GHz, 6 MB of L2 cache, and 32 MB of L3 cache. The benchmark results reveal interesting findings regarding its performance. The Ryzen 5 7500F achieved a single-core score of 2783 and a multi-core score of 13323.

These scores position the Ryzen 5 7500F in close competition with the Ryzen 5 7600X in terms of performance. Geekbench displays various benchmarks for the 7600X, ranging from approximately 2687 to over 3000 points in single-core and from about 12238 to over 13900 in multi-core. Although the Ryzen 5 7600X possesses the same number of cores as the 7500F, it boasts a higher base clock of 4.7GHz and a higher thermal design power (TDP) of 105W. Additionally, it features integrated RDNA 2 graphics. Thus, while the Ryzen 5 7500F may not surpass the performance of the 7600X, it offers comparable performance. Moreover, considering that the price of the upcoming CPU remains unknown, it is expected to be more cost-effective than the Ryzen 7600X upon its release.

Speaking about pricing, there was an unannounced AMD CPU that appeared in a benchmark database of Puget Systems. It was also briefly listed on a Korean retailer's website before being taken down. The listing indicated that the Ryzen 5 7500F would have a price tag below $200, potentially ranging from $170 to $180. Considering this information, having a CPU priced under $200 that performs similarly to the more expensive Ryzen 5 7600X, typically priced at $299, would be an appealing choice.
