One dedicated player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom came up with a creative way to transport Bubbulfrogs, allowing them to embark on a thrilling adventure throughout Hyrule. They shared their achievement online, shortly after another player managed to enhance a classic hoverbike design in the game.
The new Zelda game introduces more than six new enemies, expanding its existing creature roster. Bubbulfrogs are the gentlest addition to the game, as they pose no real danger to players and primarily exist to drop Bubbul Gems, a new type of collectible used to unlock various items and exclusive armor pieces in Tears of the Kingdom.
To expand the horizons of a Bubbulfrog, a YouTuber known as Zeldaswitch9 took it upon themselves to embark on a journey across the vast world of Tears of the Kingdom. Through a clever combination of game mechanics such as Rewind, Ultrahand, and Autobuild, they managed to capture what they perceived as a solitary Bubbulfrog residing within a cave. After successfully transporting the creature outside its natural habitat using a makeshift boat, Zeldaswitch9 utilized Zonai Hover Stones, Fans, and Rockets to soar through the skies alongside their newfound companion.
With utmost care, the player positioned the Bubbulfrog on a single Hover Stone and gradually guided it across the expansive Hyrulean skies, providing it with the opportunity to witness all four majestic dragons within the game. Surprisingly, this entire adventure concluded in under ten minutes. However, the endeavor demanded significant resources, as constructing the contraptions necessary for traversing the map with the Bubbulfrog required numerous Zonaite pieces and an ample supply of Zonai Charges for power.
In a following Reddit post, Zeldaswitch9 explained that their unconventional effort stemmed from a desire to assist lonely Bubbulfrog in finding companionship. Social media enthusiasts commended the author's originality and perseverance, highlighting how this accomplishment underscores the immense freedom players enjoy in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Though this achievement carries a light-hearted tone, there are hints of a darker backstory behind the Bubbulfrogs themselves. Another player of Tears of the Kingdom recently shed light on a ominous detail concerning these luminescent cave inhabitants, suggesting their origins are deeply unsettling.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
