Some Honkai: Star Rail fans aren't excited about Seele's upcoming banner re-run, opting to skip and save resources for new characters in the future.
Players who already possess Seele and Jing Yuan, or those who prefer to enhance Jing Yuan's abilities with his five-star Light Cone, are choosing to forego Seele's re-run. Fan reactions indicate that players are carefully evaluating the existing pool of characters and their team compositions, and many fail to recognize the merit of summoning for Seele when they already possess superior damage dealers.
Some fans of Honkai: Star Rail aren't showing much enthusiasm for the upcoming banner re-run featuring Seele. Seele was originally released in Version 1.1 of Honkai: Star Rail and was the first five-star banner character to be introduced in the game. This re-run will also mark the first time a character is being featured again in Honkai: Star Rail.
During the recent special Version 1.4 stream for Honkai: Star Rail, new characters like Jingliu and Topaz, both five-star characters, as well as Guinaifen, a four-star character, were showcased. Additionally, exciting features were revealed that will surely excite the game's huge playerbase. One of the highly anticipated updates for this version is the upcoming Seele re-run. Players will have another chance to pull for the Quantum-type character for the first time or increase their Eidolons related to her.
Despite being the highest-earning character in the Honkai: Star Rail banner, Seele's re-run did not generate much excitement among players. A Reddit poll conducted by Humble_Empath_617 asked players if they would prefer to pull for Seele or Jing Yuan in a future re-run. Out of over 5,300 respondents, more than 3,200 voted to "Skip again." Fans of Honkai: Star Rail explained that they were not interested in pulling for Seele or the hypothetical Jing Yuan re-runs because they preferred to invest in other character re-runs, such as Luocha and Blade.
Many Honkai: Star Rail players chose to skip the re-run because they already had both Seele and Jing Yuan. Others wanted to obtain Jing Yuan's five-star Light Cone to further enhance his abilities. Some players decided to save their Stellar Jades and Star Rail passes for new five-star characters in the future, particularly after Version 1.5 of Honkai: Star Rail revealed its banner lineup, which included Huohuo, Argenti, and the four-star Hanya.
Based on fan reactions, it appears that players are analyzing the strengths of the current pool of Honkai: Star Rail character compositions and how they work together effectively. It is understandable if some players do not see the value in spending Stellar Jades or real money to obtain Seele, especially if they already have damage dealers they consider to be superior. This is completely acceptable in the overall context of the game. One of the great aspects of games like Honkai: Star Rail is the wide variety of choices players have with each new character release. Unless someone is dedicated to collecting every character in the game, they shouldn't have trouble finding units that can compete with Seele or Jing Yuan.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently available for PC and mobile devices, and a PS5 version will be launching on October 11th.
