Chihiro Rokuhira also discovered the true whereabouts of Char from a vanquished guard. Despite being wounded, the main character was aware of the Enchanted Blade's capability to adapt to its wielder.
The latest installment of Kagurabachi, chapter 14, made its debut in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump 55 on Monday, December 18 at 12 am JST. The chapter opened with Chihiro relaying his father Kunishige's revelations about the true realm of the Enchanted Blade to the Kamunabi sorcerers.
He claimed that the Enchanted Blades possess power that surpasses theoretical limitations, and that this power is influenced by the wielder's understanding of the blade, their willpower, and other factors.
In chapter 14 of Kagurabachi, the story shifted to a new location where Shiba was observed gazing at a warehouse. A flashback then detailed how he and Chihiro had discovered the existence of another hideout, separate from the one they had previously infiltrated.

Subsequently, the blond sorcerer inquired the vanquished sentinel from chapter 12 if he possessed any knowledge regarding Sojo's association with Hisaki. Although the man was unaware of it, he divulged the whereabouts of the alternate hideout.
Shiba, sensing some suspicious activity, made the decision to go investigate while asking Chihiro to focus on rescuing Char. He warned the protagonist not to get into any fights before leaving and suggested that if combat could not be avoided, Chihiro should wait for his return. In chapter 14 of Kagurabachi, the protagonist followed Shiba's advice and observed the enemies, waiting for Shiba to come back. It was at that moment when a sorcerer wearing a blindfold launched a surprise attack.

Despite sensing that Chihiro was in peril, Shiba was unable to return as he was encircled by powerful adversaries who were protecting the Warehouse. A subsequent panel unveiled Char discovering Chihiro's presence due to the commotion outside.
Returning to the battlefield, the protagonist showcased the powerful abilities of his Enchanted Blade to attack his opponents. Unfortunately, his injuries hindered him from fully utilizing the blade's strength. The sorcerers noticed Chihiro's weakened state and taunted him, claiming that he had only defeated guards without any magical abilities. Confronted with his own limitations, Chihiro used his blade to shatter the lights and take cover.

The guards then signaled for backup and announced to the group that it was the ideal moment to steal the mystical sword and eliminate Chihiro. Feeling trapped, the main character was on the verge of surrender when he suddenly recalled his father's advice.
A heartwarming moment was captured in a flashback between father and son, as the father advised his son not to lose sight of his identity while pursuing his dreams. Kunishige's invaluable guidance helped Chihiro find his inner strength.
In chapter 14 of Kagurabachi, the story shifted to Char being held as a prisoner. Some researchers arrived to take her for further experiments, noting that the protagonist had escaped. Char, feeling hopeless, remembered the blurry face of a woman who may have been her mother. However, it was later revealed that Chihiro had not left. He concealed his presence and exceeded the theoretical limits of his Enchanted Blade to summon multiple black goldfish (Kuro) to attack his opponents.
