The Veteran class was initially designed to serve as a backline marksman. However, with the class overhaul introduced in Patch 13, players now have the opportunity to enhance this long-ranged playstyle even more by acquiring skills that effectively eliminate priority targets from a safe distance, thereby allowing their team to have more space to maneuver.

To maximize single-target damage, opt for the Lucius Mk III Helbore Lasgun. This formidable weapon possesses the capability to eliminate Crushers with a single well-crafted strike, given its optimal combination of statistics and Blessings. For optimal results, players are advised to equip a Helbore rifle that offers the following enhancement:

The Surgical Blessing enhances the likelihood of a critical hit with the player's next shot when they aim down sights. The bonus resets after a critical hit, creating a continuous cycle. This ability pairs exceptionally well with Infernus, as it ignites enemies after a critical hit. Alternatively, Onslaught proves advantageous by reducing the charging time required for full-power Helbore shots.
Shredder Grenades are preferred over Krak Grenades due to the exceptional armor penetration of Helbore Lasguns.
Players have the freedom to choose any melee weapon they desire, but it is advisable to opt for one with excellent horde-clearing capabilities. Recommended choices include Power Swords, Chainswords, and Catachan Devil Swords with advantageous Cleave abilities. However, these options are not mandatory.
