Highlights
The highly anticipated game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, will amaze players with the introduction of The Scorcher, an awe-inspiring Wonder Weapon. This powerful giant laser cannon has the ability to obliterate hordes of zombies instantly, emitting striking purple bursts of energy.
The Scorcher boasts a sluggish firing rate and demands approximately two seconds to power up, necessitating strategic placement and precision aiming to unleash its full potential against swarms of the undead.
In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, players will venture into a sprawling open world segmented into three distinct zones of danger, paralleling the structure seen in Black Ops Cold War's Outbreak mode. Additionally, the forthcoming Urzikstan map from Warzone will be repurposed for this thrilling experience.
The introduction of a powerful new weapon called The Scorcher will be a major highlight in the upcoming Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Reveal of this lethal equipment took place during the Call of Duty Next event, which also featured the premiere of the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer.
First introduced in Call of Duty: World at War in 2008, the Zombies mode has become a recurring feature in almost every subsequent game in the franchise. The next installment of this mode is set to release on November 10 as part of the highly anticipated sequel to Modern Warfare 2. While fans have various expectations for this mode, there is a general consensus among Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies enthusiasts that the game would greatly benefit from additional Wonder Weapons.
Developers have recently introduced The Scorcher, a newly unveiled Wonder Weapon for Call of Duty Zombies in Modern Warfare 3. The weapon, referred to ominously as The Scorcher, is a giant laser cannon that emits powerful purple energy blasts, effectively obliterating hordes of undead upon contact. However, this destructive capability comes at the cost of a relatively slow rate of fire. A brief demonstration video shared during Call of Duty Next indicates that The Scorcher will require approximately two seconds to charge up.
Furthermore, the weapon's blast radius seems to be narrow, implying that precise positioning and aim will be crucial for Modern Warfare 3 players to make the most impact. This means that players will need to exercise patience while waiting for enemies to align properly. In cases where overwhelming numbers of enemies make this waiting game impractical, the Wonder Weapon offers an alternative fire mode as a backup plan. This mode allows users to launch themselves into the air using a wingsuit, offering them an opportunity to escape to a safer location.
The Scorcher and other special equipment in the upcoming game will not be tied to specific Zombies maps as Wonder Weapons were in the past. Instead, Modern Warfare 3 Zombies will introduce an open world divided into three threat zones, similar to Black Ops Cold War's Outbreak. This new mode will repurpose Urzikstan, a map set to be added to Warzone in mid-December. Players will have the opportunity to experience Zombies on this new map when Modern Warfare 3 launches, offering an early glimpse of what's to come. Modern Warfare 3 will be available on November 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
