Unleash Your Gaming Style with Exclusive Free Skins in Overwatch 2's Anniversary Extravaganza!

Unlock coveted fan-favorite skins for free during the Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event! Don't miss out on the chance to earn up to 3,000 Overwatch Credits and enhance your gaming experience

To celebrate its first anniversary, Overwatch 2 is reintroducing seasonal game modes for a limited time and providing an opportunity for players to acquire their favorite skins at no cost.

Running until October 9, the anniversary event will feature different seasonal game modes each week. By completing challenges specific to these modes, players can unlock rewards such as player icons and highlight intros. Additionally, fulfilling general event challenges, which entail completing matches, will grant players Overwatch Credits. These credits can then be utilized in the temporary Anniversary Shop to obtain previously unavailable seasonal skins from the past year.

The event will kick off with the return of Winter Wonderland game modes including Yeti Hunt and Mei's Snowball Offensive, as well as Season 2's Battle for Olympus game modes. In week 2, players can enjoy the comeback of Assault, Catch-A-Mari, and Season 4's Starwatch: Galactic Rescue. Last but not least, week 3 will bring back Summer Games event modes like Lucioball, along with Season 5's Mischief & Magic prop-hunt game mode.

Completing all of Overwatch 2's anniversary event challenges will give players the opportunity to win up to 3,000 Overwatch Credits. While the event itself will come to an end on October 9, the Anniversary Shop will remain open until October 16. This will give players the chance to spend their hard-earned credits on exciting skins such as Space Raider Cassidy, Hermes Lucio, Beekeeper Sigma, and more.

Invasion, Overwatch 2's latest season, introduced story missions, the new support hero Illari, and hero mastery challenges. The game made its debut on Steam in Season 6, but unfortunately became the worst user-reviewed game on the platform, albeit for an unexpected reason.

Even though the planned PvE "Hero Mode" for Overwatch 2 was cancelled, Blizzard has assured fans that there is still plenty of exciting news to come. They have promised to share these updates at BlizzCon, the annual event returning as an in-person gathering for the first time since 2019 on November 3-4. Additionally, Blizzard has teased an upcoming "all-new crossover event" for Season 7. In the past, Overwatch 2's first crossover added One-Punch Man-themed skins and cosmetic items during Season 3.
