Neon, a bustling trading city, harbors not only vibrant commerce but also a network of dangerous criminal organizations. While the upper levels are plagued by corporate espionage and assassination plots, the city's less affluent districts host their fair share of turmoil. Venture to Ebbside, specifically the renowned nightclub Madame Sauvage's Place, and players will have the chance to align themselves with "The Strikers" in their ongoing conflict against their rival group, "The Disciples".
Upon completing the quest "The Audition," Briggs will request that the player consult Hatchet regarding the next assignment. In a mission reminiscent of the graffiti tags seen in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, players are assigned the task of altering tags throughout the city, symbolizing a shift in gang territory ownership. Rather than utilizing spray paint, these gang tags are displayed on electronic billboards, presumably acquired through a collaboration with Neon Security. Players will need to skillfully hack into these billboards to complete their mission.
First Sign
To find the first sign, players can follow the orange stairs leading upwards from the Ebbside Fish Market. The Disciples guarding the spot will become immediately hostile and there will be a total of four to overcome. Taking them down should be manageable, especially for players who have enhanced weapons and armor. After defeating the guarding Disciples, players can deactivate the sign by interacting with it.
Second Sign
The second sign can be found in the Xenofresh fish processing facility, situated one level beneath Ebbside. Access to this facility is granted through a set of elevators located in Ebbside. It is worth noting that these elevators, unlike the ones leading to Bayu Plaza and Ikuchi Market, are positioned closer to the edge and facing inwards.
This sign presents a slightly more intricate challenge as a Neon Security guard will immediately intervene, regardless if the sign is hacked discreetly, and confront the player. Players have several options to handle this confrontation: they can offer a bribe of 1500 credits to the guard and make him look the other way, or they can utilize their Social skills to persuade him. Alternatively, players with the Neon Street Rat trait can reason with the officer and convince him that the Strikers are superior to the Disciples. All three choices will peacefully resolve the situation, but the ideal outcome is to avoid paying the fine.
Third Sign
The third and final sign can be found at Ikuchi Market in the main Neon strip, near Ryujin Industries, where players initially enter the city. Behind a security guard, there is a hidden switch to hack the sign, but sneaking may not be required as the switch is well concealed from the main walkway.
After accomplishing this task, players can return to Madame Sauvage's Place in Ebbside to meet with Briggs. He will provide a debriefing on the mission and prepare players for the ultimate Strikers vs Disciples quest, known as "The Showdown."
