In addition to the already captivating base game content, fans of Divinity: Original Sin 2 were further delighted by the abundance of DLCs and updates provided by Larian Entertainment. One standout addition was the Contamination Armor, which introduced exciting new possibilities. To assist players who may encounter difficulties finding this armor, a helpful guide is available to navigate through the more challenging aspects.
Where To Find The Contamination Armor
Step 1 (Fort Joy): Find The Boots & Greaves On A Shipwreck
To initiate the Seed of Power quest, venture towards Fort Joy located along the coastline. On the sandy shore, a shipwreck awaits, inhabited by both magisters and a resilient elf named Daeyena, engaged in a fierce battle. Irrespective of the player's choices, Daeyena is the sole possessor of the highly coveted Boots and Greaves of Contamination.
Help Daeyena vanquish the magisters, and then find an elf companion who can consume a portion of one of the magisters in order to acquire the crucial Trigger Spores ability, which will play a significant role in the remainder of this quest. At this point, the player and Daeyena will bid farewell, with her retaining possession of the Boots and Greaves of Contamination... for the time being.
Step 2 (Reaper's Coast): Create The Gauntlets By Using Trigger Spores
Further along in the quest, players can reunite with Daeyena along the Reaper's Coast, where she will demonstrate the process of creating the Gauntlets of Contamination from the Contamination Armor. This involves using Trigger Spores on another enemy magister to eliminate them and obtain the necessary materials. The player will have the opportunity to engage in a battle with Daeyena and retrieve the three pieces of Contamination Armor before proceeding to search for the remaining pieces.
Step 3 (Reaper's Coast): Head To The Blackpits To Find The Cuirass
On a hill overlooking the Blackpits, a magister wearing the Cuirass of Contamination will be present. The players have the option to either steal it discreetly to avoid any conflicts or engage in combat to obtain it. If the players choose to eliminate the magister, they can then loot the Cuirass from their lifeless body.
Step 4 (Arx): Enter Reimond's Basement For The Helm
What The Contamination Armor Does
Hidden amidst the bushes near Reimond's residence lies a camouflaged trapdoor, cunningly waiting to be uncovered by the player. Stepping through this secret entrance reveals a hidden research laboratory teeming with adversaries. However, once these foes are vanquished, the player will have the opportunity to claim the coveted Helm of Contamination, thus bringing the entire set to completion.

Contamination Armor Set Bonus: Rooting Corruption
The Contamination Armor in DOS 2 offers numerous powerful advantages, including a set bonus that becomes active when all pieces are worn together.
Rooting Corruption enhances Poison Resistance even further, providing an additional +75% resistance. Furthermore, the character wearing the armor will now inflict poison damage through bleeding. Additionally, if the wearer is physically attacked, they will counter with a poisonous projectile in the direction they are facing once per turn.
Best Builds For The Contamination Armor
Venomous Sentry Build
This particular build is specifically designed for players who prefer the ranger class in Divinity Original Sin 2, as it focuses on utilizing a range of attacks suited for both mid and long-range combat. By equipping the Contamination Armor, players are able to significantly increase their durability compared to other ranged builds. The ultimate objective of becoming a Venomous Sentry is to saturate the battlefield with poisonous substances, while simultaneously bombarding enemies with corrosive projectile assaults. Thanks to the set bonus provided by the Contamination Armor, which facilitates the spread of poison and automatically launches venom-infused projectiles, players who don this armor have a highly advantageous starting point.
Scourge Wizard Build
Combine the talent Elemental Ranger with the skill Reactive Shots to transform your character into a powerful acid-spitting turret. By inflicting poison on the area where enemies are standing, they will be compelled to move, triggering Reactive Shots to unleash several basic attacks on any foes within range attempting to escape the poison. This is where Elemental Ranger proves invaluable, as it adds a 20% bonus of elemental damage to projectiles, effectively amplifying the poisonous effects even further.
For those who desire to vanquish their enemies with even greater speed, players in search of a formidable poison build should consider playing as a Scourge Wizard. The Scourge Wizard excels in combining deadly poison and incendiary effects to unleash tremendous damage. Many players of DOS 2 are likely aware of the volatile nature of the poison and fire combination, as it can result in multiple explosive reactions that harm foes and inflict various debilitating conditions.
In addition to their arsenal of lethal spells and the advantages bestowed upon them by the Contamination Armor in Divinity Original Sin 2, Scourge Wizards also possess the Torturer talent. This unique talent enables them to afflict targets, bypassing both physical and magical armor, with poison, burning, and several other status effects. As a result, most enemies find themselves defenseless against the onslaught of the Scourge Wizard's attacks.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, Nintendo Switch, and iPad.
