In Baldur's Gate 3, Druids do not start the game with their most defining ability, Wild Shape. Once they reach Level 2, along with choosing a subclass, Druids gain the power to transform into a chosen animal a few times during a short rest. Initially, Druids have access to four forms (five for Circle of the Moon Druids), but as they progress, the options for shapes steadily increase.
There are a total of 15 Wild Shape forms available to Druids in Baldur's Gate 3, with seven exclusive to Circle of the Moon Druids. However, not all forms are equally powerful or useful, and some are even flawed. The Dilophosaurus is the Druid's most eccentric Wild Shape in Baldur's Gate 3. Unlike any other creature in the game, this unique model is, in fact, a dinosaur.
While in Dilophosaurus form, Druids can deal 2d10 damage to enemies with a Bite, accompanied by an additional 1d8 Acid damage that can potentially inflict the Acid status effect. By utilizing Corrosive Spit, Druids can attack opponents from a distance, dealing 2d8 Acid damage and also having a chance to apply the Acid effect, thus lowering the opponent's AC. Additionally, Pounce allows the Druid to initiate combat with a potent 2d6 attack that also knocks the targeted enemy prone.
